Hi everyone, sorry not been around much, still ill and unable to sit at the PC for very long, but I have managed to keep up to date with everyones projects, which are all looking great!

A big welcome to the newbies to the thread :j

The good thing about being ill is being able to get a lot of stitching done, I have a couple of updates for you but I will post them one at a time so I don't take up too much space lol

Okay, so first up is the Dalek:

Last update (14/03/12) - 72 hours 25 minutes total worth of stitching:

This update (29/05/12) - 101 hours 50 minutes total worth of stitching:

Had to stop there as the next three colours I wanted to stitch, I couldn't find grrrrr, and I know I have 2 of them somewhere, just can't find where lol, so I moved on to the eagle, will post an update of that tomorrow, as I've done quite a bit on it.

I haven't been stitching much as I haven't been well again, and my uncle is in hospital, so I have been worrying about that, but he seems to be doing okay at the moment, but he's a right old time of it!!

Quoting myself here, but just to say that unfortunately, my uncle died on Thursday. It was a bit of a shock really as he seemed to have been picking up, but he had said that he didn't think he had long left. However, we were hoping that things were getting better and were even thinking about putting in a pacemaker.
We were very close, as I lived with my Grandma and Grandad when I was a baby until I was about 4, and my Uncle and Aunt were at home also. He was more like a Dad and best friend rather than an uncle.
The Yorkshire map I was stitching, was going to be for him, so that has been put away for the time being.

Anyways that's all for now, will be back tomorrow with another stitchy update :)

Soulie - sorry to hear about your uncle.

Have at last managed to catch up on all of the posts - gosh you've been busy. Well done on everyone that has completed items or made good progress. Welcome to the newcomers - sorry can't remember everyone's names.

The family wedding went really well we had a lovely day.

I had an awful holiday in the caravan in Devon. It rained heavily for the first 2 days, we then had an okay day on wednesday, my Dad ended up in hospital on Thursday and Friday with firstly a suspected heart attack then they said it was a clot on his lung then they said it was a viral infection of the cartilage/bone attacking his ribs to his sternum and his diaphragm.

Whilst Dad was inhospital we had gails and the awning blew done, leaving mayhem behind it. My son and I were out 2 hours in the middle of the gail/rain trying to save the awning and damage to the caravan.

At least the caravan was ok and my Dad was released from hospital and is on the mend.

On a stitchy front I've started "A good marriage" last week and also bought my son a new kit (I'm stitching it not him) of three tree frogs, see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
