Louise I like the ballet dancer, cuteCan anyone recommend a nice pale pink and a flesh colour in DMC. I seemed to have lost (or mislaid) the ones in the packs, and I have nearly finished them.

The best flesh colours are (lightest to darkest): 948, 951, 950, 945 - they are really good for blending 948/945 are the most common ones I find myself using.

As for pink, my favourite pale ones are 818 (pale baby pink) or 605 (light rose pink)

Morning all!

I have a whole hour to myself so going to get some stitching done. I have had a break from Circe this week, completed the pic for my niece and have done 3 small pieces that I will make into cards. I'm waiting for the school hols then I will get my cardmaking stuff out and spend a couple of days making a pile of them

I thought I would share one of the card designs - I had another look at that rather dubious blackwork samper in last months WOXS and saw a small card on the last page using the blackwork technique, so I decided to give it a go



I enoyed it but I on't think I could do a big sampler, it would drive me daft lol

After sorting out my threads this morning, I have 15 duplicate Anchor skeins so if anyone is looking to start or increase their stash, please PM me for details. I would also be willing to swap maybe for colours I don't have as suggested by another lovely member on here.

Raining here again(!) and little ones asleep so may get some stitching done

Had to pick OH up at train station at 12:45 AM! And have been a zombie all day. But am glad I could (paper driving licence found so could be put on his hire car insurance).

New CrossStitcher came. It's ok. Next months looks great though. Darn them, everytime I go to cancel they tease me with a good one!

Picked up some stitching yesterday, a little bookmark band I'm just going with my five colous using random sampler bands from various mags. And have started the bookmark kit from the XStitcher that came today.. That's a first!

- hope everyone is well, and braving the wind. oH wants to go on the fair's bug wheel tonight, I doubt it'll be open. And I wouldn't join him anyway!

had a lazy day stitching, found a nice little lily in an old mag and managed to make a balloon on the printout graph paper finished the lily including the backstitch and over half way on the balloon - thnking i could back stitch the balloon string to spell out Lily's name
