Lancs-lady, you'll need to join the group first, if you already have a Flickr account. Let me know what your Flickr screen name is (by PM if you prefer) and I'll join you up :)

Thanks for that FOS - that's the one. Isn't she gorgeous. Well, maybe not just now but one day ............ :D

    Thanks again,

    b_e_g

She certainly is. I stitched it ages ago though left out the Noel so that I could keep it on display for winter not just Christmas. One of my SiL keeps dropping very broad hints about stitching it for her but I don't know if I can face all those beads again - the actual xs is very easy as are all MLI patterns. Someone here (may be LancsLady) is currently stitching her Winter Angel which is beautiful

I have started Emily Peacock's HUG cushion today - I think it will take me about a year to complete! The colours are beautiful, I have outlined the "U" and realised it is a long project. It's on my frame but is much too big for it so I think it will be a bit of a faff until I get enough done to feel I am making progress. I am enjoying/impatient in equal measure.

Love this pattern but I agree it is a big undertaking. Her individual Circus font letters are a bit more manageable. Looking forward to seeing your progress

    Hi all,

I discovered this wonderful tread while googling Emily peacock charts. I hope you don't mind me making a brew and pulling up a seat at your little circle. :)

I've rediscovered my love of cross stitch while off work sick. I like to make my own designs as well as work from patterns and am a huge Emily peacock fan (If only the kits were cheaper!)

I'm heading over to flicker now to try and upload some images and join your group!

Welcome - looking forward to seeing some of your work

    Hello Everyone

Well my wee long weekend is nearly over and I haven't done a stitch. I have had horrible neck pain most of it - think I pulled a muscle - bulk buying at super market at weekend. Then to top it all I am treating ourselves to home made veggie lasange (Jamie 30 minute way - takes more like 2 hrs in my book) and went and cut my thumb.

So on with more heat pad and a plaster. Not really looking forward to going back to work - just thinking of the pile they have left me to do - yikes. Asked why they can't do some of it, got the reply "don't want to mess up your systems".

Well off to check on lasange and facebook to check on family. Don't know why they are in my bad books but I still check(another story).

    Keep well everyone

    sweetcarer ;)

Well my Jubilee cushion should have been completed by now but it is driving me MAD. I had to unpick 1 and a half of the crowns at the bottom because I had stitched them one square out and I also had to unpick a load of red because I used the wrong shade. I am obviously losing my ability to stitch and listen/watch TV at the same time:eek:

Anyway here is the latest update photo. It also shows some trim I bought on Sat for when it is finally at the stage where I can make it into a cushion

Because I was so unhappy at what I had had to do with the cushion I decided to stitch something else small so made this pincushion for a niece's birthday later this year
When I saw the design a while ago I knew it would be perfect for her and I already had the threads and fabric sorted so it didn't take long to finish

sweetcarer - sorry to hear of your mishaps especially as they are getting in the way of your stitching

I could get used to these 4 days weekends but even with the extra days I still didn't get done all I hoped. Plan to do more on the dreaded cushion this evening. I can't let it become a UFO like my Millennium sampler

Hi all, not been around much recently, having just been catching up reading all the posts. Some lovely work you should all be very proud :)

I've not done a lot to Winter Angel recently, in fact not a lot of stitching, I did start on her headdress and wings yesterday so hoping to get that finished this week, and will post an update at the end of the week.

I know I'm going to sound really cheeky now, but would anyone mind giving me a ;) re the Jessie J chart please? My daughter is mad about her and I would so love to stitch this for her.

I'm also trying to design some Moshi Monsters charts for her, she's crazy about those little blighters too! Have tried putting them on my XS designer, but not come out too clear, so I might try and chart them myself on graph paper. I've never done it before, so not sure what they are going to turn out like. I'm certainly no Van Gough either, but perhaps I could trace them on or something :rotfl:

You have mail. Looking forward to your update on Winter Angel - love those designs
