£200 of stash... what did you get :O0
-
I basically added everything up that I have brought since I started almost a month ago. Includes, frames, floor stand, books, mags, fabric, charts, equipment and materials etc etc and lots of thread.
Had the ebay bug bad
*ponders of reciting 'must not buy stash repeatedly'*0 -
Soulie - thanks for the link. I wanted to buy from Readicut the other month but decided not to as the postage was £3.99. Have just spent £27 inc p&P on 3 kits. Ordered Mini Beasts Cross Sticth Kit £5, Friends Quilt Magic Kit 5 and Sewing Room Cross Stitch Kit £15.99. As I subscribed to their newsletter and its my first order I got 10% off.
Thanks again - I know I spent money but I did a face to face interview today and got paid £45 so happy to spend some on stash. Don't know when I'll get round to stitching/making them.
Was it to do with Blinkbox, by any chance?
I looked & added 2 kits to my basket, then thought about my stash & closed the window. I have waaaay too much already.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Well done on resisting.... I am currently distracting myself by looking through all the beautiful pieces people have completed on the flikr group
Very inspirational, adding lots to my chart wish list as I go along, lol

Ok - so browsed WOXS now - heres my verdict :j
Free gift - Margaret Sherry Chart booklet
FAB and would be absolutely delighted with it - if it wasn't for the fact that I bought this kit a few months back.....
Nelson & Tibs
Do like this design but don't think it would be something I would stitch. Might stitch the small bird as a gift tag/bookmark.
Note from margaret on letters page 15
How small is the text and blue text on white background ? I need new glasses !
Window View
Like the idea but it doesn't quite carry the 3D effect that I think is intended ? Don't think I will be stitching this.
Paws for thought advert - page 22
Like the Floral Juggler design but overpriced I feel.
Ginger tom designs advert
Like the purrfect place cat bookmark but not enough to buy. reasonably priced.
Heritage Crafts Interview
Love this ! I love the cat designs Peter Underhill creates :j
Soap advert
bored of seeing these adverts now but must tell my friend about this company.
Fathers Day cards
Like the the panda, mouse and monkey - don't think the others look right ? have already sorted most of the threads for the mouse design. Would have been nice to have alternative messages.
Page 34 - advert for sampler tote bag
This is fab although pricey. Might have to stitch on birthday wish list :j
3 x Cat designs
Don't like any of these. Something just doesn't sit right for me with them. The lion looks really wrong ?
Ultimate cross stitch kit
Looks interesting but would like to have seen stitchers stash of ultimate cross stitch kit :j
Subcriber only pages
Totally naff!
Sports Day motifs
nothing I want to stitch here.
Summer Bunting
don't get!
Giveaways - page 61
Like the wedding design but bet its more complicated/time consuming to stitch than it looks!
Cupcake
Naff? Looks like a mutilated cupcake ?
Blackwork Sampler
Like the concept and the colours but don't like the wording used.
New Home Cards
Ok I suppose. Not sure I will stitch.
Groovy Chick
not for me.
Joan Elliott design - Garden Helpers
Love Joan Elliott. Love this design.
Furry Tales
Better than last month's offering but BRING BACK NEWTON
next month....
Like the look of the free kit but doubt I will ever stitch it! Like the Margaret Sherry design - but again out of (her) other designs, not one I will end up stitching. Cottage chic looks quite cool. Toby Fox - cute and dolphin - colours amazing but not something I would want to stitch. Summer blooms - yuk. baby gifts - look ok. Purse perfect - looks interesting.
Jen'll fix it

Afternoon everyone
It's absolutely beautiful here today - house has been cleaned top to bottom, got 2 loads of washing out, DD is playing with Octonauts in the garden in the water table (I'm sitting at the window with a cuppa) Got visitors coming over after 3 (mum, sis, nephew and niece) and my sewandso order arrived today.....oh and I'm down to Circe's waist stitching-wise.
I feel a little happier than I have done so far this year....so I'm making the most of it.:jCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Ruth-honey - it wasn't Blinkbox. It was Firefish which I think came from a survey I did on Mysurveyuk. The lady was with me for about an hour and I received £45 in cash. Hubby wants to try to get a late booking for a night away this Saturday. Have come clean and said I've spent some on stash (hehe).
Louise - glad you are feeling happier today, the weather makes all the difference. Looking forward to seeing Circe.
Haven't done a stitch on mine since last Wednesday. Putting tents up last Thursday, Cub camp friday, Saturday and Sunday and running round after my son yesterday. Hubby working away at the moment so I'm doing everything. It's not until he's not here that I realise just how much he does.
Going to my Nephews later so that my son can meet Charlie for the first time. Looking forward to it. Probably not a lot of stitching for me.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

I've finished my LK 'A Good Marriage' chart! Woooo hoo! Technically there's some reverse stitching to do, but I might leave that for now. I stitched 3 of the letters one square out early on in the chart. It looks fine, but I think it will annoy me if I don't change it. I'll see, though. Just pleased its done right now. Not got a suitable frame, so I'm going to have to wrap it up unframed and find something afterwards. May even get it professionally framed as its special.
Will add link to a pic, as I daren't risk DH seeing a thumbnail pic of it over my shoulder when I'm on here.

Hi guys, well not much stitching done, but i do have a small update to show you
I didn't feel like stitching much this week plus i am physically struggling to as i suffer from chilblains, my middle finger on my right hand has swelled up (looks like a sausage trying to burst out :rotfl:) so makes holding the needle a bit hard. My granda's funeral is tomorrow but we will not be travelling up, my dog had to go to the vets for an op and we get her home tomorrow morning, she is not fit for travelling plus she is diabetic so we can't just leave her at home. I'm just glad the op went well as she is fairly high risk. Anyway sorry for waffling on, here is the update
