Ruth-honey - your love sampler is great. How long did it take? I have this to stitch for our 25th Anniversary in October and need to do it without my husband knowing. May use some of my odd and ends of thread up on it.

I started it about Valentines Day, but my stitching time has been greatly reduced recently, as you know! Kittens & stitching do not mix. And hiding it from DH means I could only stitch during the day and I was at the gym a lot. I used the hand dyed threads that came with it, which means stitching each stitch individually-which is slower than how I usually stitch-row by row doing half stitches then working back to do the top half.
It was lovely to stitch, though & I adore the sparkly fabric that I used (Silkweavers. Sparkling Promise). You could very easily adapt the colours to use what you have in your stash, or to match a colour scheme. Keep us updated with piccies too! :)

Thanks for all the comments, everyone!

Love the Noah's ark-it's looking great.

I looked at the pic too, nmm. I hope she recovers soon. Poor girl. That must be a lot to go through.

Blossom has come to sit with me at the desk. How am I supposed to go in the other room & get packed up with her looking so cute??? We are going away for 2 nights for our anniversary tomorrow, so my mum is coming to kitty sit. Gonna miss Blossom so much! LOL!

Oh, was just looking (cough, cough!) at Sew & So the other day when I found this chart... http://www.sewandso.co.uk/products/cat-lessons-for-people-chart__liz-lk142.aspx
I am very tempted to get it...

Ruth-honey - hope you have a nice couple of days away and that your hubby spoils you - I'm sure he will. Have just printed the pattern out and may try to combine most of the words (not too keen on the "give each other a safe place to grow" sentence, not sure it's quite appropriate after 25 years, with some of the border etc from the blackwork design in this months WOXS.

Off to scan the WOXS pattern and try to do a bit of Blue Peter (cutting and sticking) to see what it looks like. If I think it looks okay may scan the finished pattern in and see what folks think.

It's silly isn't it. Saturday I was on Cub Camp wearing 5 layers, 2 of which were fleeces, a waterproof and my fleece camp blanket and I was still cold. Today t-shirt only and now hot. I transition to warm weather would be nice - not that I am complaining about the nice weather. Just the fact that it probably wont last.

23rdspiral would like the bird clock - I was going to help her out ;) but the original would be far better for her - thanks

Yes please! Or a scan.... If I'm not too late? I've been so busy I'm just catching up now, sorry.
Looks a bit dull and miserable out this morning but things are supposed to get better later in the week - they are talking of it getting up to 27 in some parts of the country.

:rotfl: I'm a bit behind, so this is funny, as it was 27 degrees here today!:T
