  • Evening ladies, just popped on to say thank you for all the well wishes and kind words.
My tooth is improving slowly, which is something.
I am now all packed ready for tomorrow :( it has come round so quick. Kids are sleeping at Grandads now, a bit sad that I won't see them till after the operation (so probably Saturday as after the op I will be sleepy). :(
Just wish I didn't have to go through this.
    Ah well.
    I best go to bed,
    Night ladies

  • Good morning everyone - another wet and windy day - I am thinking I should be building an ark never mind admiring picture of BobbisMummy's stitched one.

Cosmopolitan - welcome to the cafe; hope your efforts with the graph paper work out

MrsMoneypenny - wonderful to see both Fred and Trog in the flesh or should that be in the shell? And your description of them as perfect children made me :rotfl:Titanic is looking good and Gorguss is just that

Louise - loved reading the responses to your query about what to stitch next and Magscat made me feel guilty but I don't believe Medieval Lady will become a UFO just because you put her to one side for a while.

Skoobie - I adore those Lizzie Kate's especially the birds and I also love the other 2 you picked out

Soulie sorry to hear you haven't been well Good work finishing another of your 15

    Ailsb - loving the dragon

AM - will be thinking of you today and looking forward to an update as soon as you are well enough to post

Well - shock - it's actually SUNNY here today

House is tidy, washing is on, got an hour and a half before I pick up DD from nursery school so I thought I would check here before doing some stitching :D

Nah she definitely won't - I still like her and she is easy to stitch :)

Sounds like you will be having my favourite sort of weekend :T

I didn't get in till nearly 10pm so by the time I finished organising threads I only got 4 lengths done on Circe - I actually fell asleep sitting up, needle in hand before midnight, I was so tired :o

One thing I'm not too keen on though - although the fabric is lovely and soft, it's not too easy to stitch on, even when it's tightly stretched on the frame there is still quite a bit of 'give' to it - the evenweave I had been working on for my lady was quite stiff, which I prefer.

    Anyway...time to get cracking.....

Good Luck AM, am thinking of you and looking forward to hearing from you when you're up to it.

Mrs-M - I'm the same, not much planned this weekend so hope to just get on with my stitching :)

It's funny, I prefer the softer fabric as I can 'sew' it more easily and stitch without a frame. Strange how we all have different methods!

Here's where I am on my nephews monster sign, after about 3 hours, so not too bad!

And this is my drafted 'pattern' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Decided to make the 'I' from a 'J' as the other monster was too wide :D I am also changing the colours as all of the letters I need are purple :(

Here's to making lots of progress on it this evening!
