Are you keeping it or gifting it?flowerofscotland wrote: »Soulie Thank you for sharing your challenge album - I loved looking through it and am very admiring of all your work. Somehow the peacock seems even more attractive when you realise what a bargain it was :money:
Thank you, and to everyone else who commented on the peacock
Ailsb I will probably be keeping it lol
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, still not been too well, am a little better but still not 100%
Anyways my copy of WOXS also came so here is my review:
Free Kit - I am a AOY fan, so I was looking forward to this, and I started stitching it the following day. However, yet again WOXS has screwed it up  Firstly they poked the needle in a place on the fabric where no stitches will be, therefore leaving two holes visiably bigger than the rest of the 'white space'. And I'm not sure if it would make any difference if I'd have stitched it with these holes at the bottom of the aida rather than the top. Then I ran out of white thread, so had to use my own. Then I ran out of light green, which I haven't colour matched yet, however, there is LOADS of dark green left over, there was 2 'skeins' of dark green, and I have a full 'skein' plus one strand left over!! Did they maybe mean to supply two of the light green??
Somebunny - Meh
Teacup Shelf - Meh
Up Close Flowers - I like, and think these will come in handy.
Diamond Jubilee - I like and was planning on buying the chart, now I don't need to.
Subs Xtra Chart - Meh
Circus Motifs - Could come in handy for children's birthday cards.
Cupcake of the Month - Not so keen on this month's cupcake pattern.
Interactive Cards - They are okay I suppose for small kids. The bird one os the best out of a bad bunch.
Butterfly - Don't like.
ABC Blocks - Meh
Milton - Cute, I like the use of colours and I like the colours on the flowers.
Garden Gifts - Nope, don't like this either, and you can barely see the writing on the bigger one.
New UGLY Mouse - WHERE IS NEWTON????? Not happy that they changed this!
Next month, I like the look of the bunting and the big cats. Not keen on the free gift though.
And in more stitchy news, I have finished another project, 'Coronation Street's Hilda's Flying Ducks', it's more of a tapestry though and was done in half cross stitch only. Not going to post a piccie of it though cus it's a bit meh lol But it was one of my 15, so I can edit my signature now too :T13 Projects in 2013 Finished: 5 of 13
May Misson: Complete 20 Stock Cards - 23 of 20 - DONE! :T
Read all Unread Books: 20 / 47  - oops bought 8 more books, 25p each though!

Mrs MP - Fred is lovely and Trog even nicer. When I was little I always wanted a tortoise and was told I could have one for my birthday, then when my birthday came around (it's in September) I was told they were about to hibernate and wait until Spring, then in Spring to wait for my birthday - I never got my tortoise.:(
Louise - looking forward to seeing Circe grow!!!
Maria - glad you've decided on your next project.
Sk00bie - you are a very naughty girl. I have had the black work fairy on my list of "wants" for sometime now and look at it every time I got to a show. One day I am sure I will get round to doing it. So many kits so little time.
Managed to take a photo of my dragon toasting marshmallows yesterday. Here it is:
dragon 250412 by Ailsb1, on Flickr
The colours haven't come out very well on the photo and the crease down the middle of the fabric isn't as pronounced as the photo makes it look. Also, I managed to stitch a bit more last night so the second dragon now has the start of a wing.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Which one? I have one in my collection which I will never do, and we might be able to come to an arrangement???0 -
Well it's decided...Circe is a go! (Ailsb and mags - you tried your best, I appreciate that but this lot are incorrigible
) :rotfl:
Have got a thread card ready, just starting loading the threads - got to pop out for a meeting at 7.30 so I hope it won;t take too long.
Opened up the chart....it's blimmin 3ft long! Not the esiest thing to manouevre (sp?) - no way I can scan it to have a backup copy so I have sellotaped along the creases on the back to make it last longer.
Soulie - all your 'meh's' made me chuckle :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. tortoises are definately easier, they eat their greens without moaning, go into their bedrooms as soon as you turn the light out dont answer back and sleep all winter so they miss christmas:D
Hi Mrs Moneypenny, your comment made me laugh. It reminds me when I was at a presentation of Dogs for the Disabled, they played the DVD showing the dogs emptying the washing machine, handing things over etc and a lady in the audience turned to her friend and said wistfully "I wonder if they would swop me one for my teenager?"0 -
dragon looks really good Alisb
louise bet you are posting a piccy of your progress on circe very soonSPC~12 ot 124

Great news about your tests maria. Looking forward to seeing the fishing sampler.
Those designs are really pretty Sk00bie.
Hellooo Cosmopolitan - look forward to seeing your updates.
Great progress Bobbis Mummy
So sorry to hear your sad news 23rd - it must be a really difficult time for you and your family. Yes the card was a cover kit from not so long ago - Cross Stitch Crazy March 2012 No 161. I made it up just to put to one side for when I need a card unexpectedly.
Your tortoises are lovely mrs. m. Look forward to seeing progress on titanic. Oh just found Gorjuss - she's lovely too.
Love your dragon Ailsb
Just for the record Louise - if I had got my vote in in time - I would have gone for the lady. I've got a bit of a thing about finishing something before starting something else - not quite ocd but ......:D Anyway at the speed you stitch, we will probably be looking at Circe over half way this time next week
As for my stitchy news - got Tulips done and framed so will try to take a piccy tomorrow in daylight and will post as soon as I can. Sorry Lou - know how you feel about flowers.
Haven't seen postingalwaysposting for a while (I don't think) - hope everything is ok and that you are just too busy to post.
Take care everyone
