im hoping to do a bit of titanic later, just warched perfect storm
hope all are well
Been watching loads of Titanic things these past few weeks. My stitching of it hangs above our sofa in the living room. A Night To Remember is on BBC 2 tomorrow afternoon. I've never watched that film, but heard its very good.
Not had much chance to stitch recently. Working on something secret that I can't stitch around DH and he's been around too much to make any progress!
Love all the updates and pictures, though. The Millenium sampler is very impressive!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

)
I loved the shot of the stalls - I love the feeling of anticipation when I first enter a show wondering what new goodies I am going to see. I am so jealous of your workshop with Jan Constantine. I have liked her work for a long time but her recent designs really hit a chord with me.
you're very welcome. i was a littleat how much i'd written, but i didnt like to delete after putting the effort in! I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. The Workshop with Jan Constantine really was brilliant. And yesterday i put the skills learnt to good use by appliquing with blanket stitch my cousin's name onto his birthday gift
.
~ TKMaxx had 4 Jan Constantine Cushions last week... I treated myself to one. at 35 it was a lot cheaper than the usual 75pounds, but still the most i've ever paid for a cusion. it's cream with a big red heart on and 'with love' on top. i really love her new designs for the Jubilee, and want her Map wall hanging, but at several hundred it's not gonna happen!
* got the new Cross Stitcher yesterday, and for once i think it's brilliant! ok, the Jan Constantine article helps(never rains but it pours, shes everywhere!), but actually there's a lot in it i might stitch, esp now my stitching bug seems to be returning
* Wee Little Stitches had a flash sale on, so at 1am i found myself buying 'Big Bang Theory' and 'The Breakfast Club'. Oopsie! :rotfl:
~ have a great holiday LOUISE!

I don't want anything too fandangled because I'm really technophobic, I just have some nice pictures I want to convert.
Many thanks
I purchased this
I love it it takes a little while to get into it, but the photos side of it is very good and they come out great. I havent stitched any yet though, but I have converted some pictures with it ready for stitching.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

The quilt is a sampler quilt with 12 different blocks which was designed by Pam and Nicky Lintott of The Quilt Room. It uses a jelly roll plus some additional fabric for the sashings and binding. The patterns were on the Quilt Room website once a month and then used for a book I have saved my copies of each of the 12 month blocks if you would like aFunnily enough I have just bought another jelly roll (Moda's Blueberry Crumbcake) to do another version as I really enjoyed making the first one. I intend to do one block a month like I did with the first one so it's a 12 month project but as it's for me it doesn't matter
Just realised you may not have meant the quilt - were you asking about the cross stitch quilt which I made into a cushion? If so it is a design by a US designer called Paula Vaughan - I've done a few of her designs0 -

Thanks for the advice. I was looking at that but was a bit unsure of it. I've tried a couple of the free ones but I can't seem to get on with them.St. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. Augustmummy - thank you. Theres no rush. My friend's son's birthday is the 10th May so I was thinking of doing it for then. Plenty of time. I seem to be flying with my stitching at the minute.
My Spring Angel took me 4 months to complete, but I'm half way through Winter Angel and spending a lot less time on it.
I'll post a pic shortly.St. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”0
