  • Well so much for my magazine filing system. Once Louise had clarified that the Imagine chart was in a chart book that came with one of the magazines I was confident I would have it in my collection. Well I've found the magazine but not the chart book and have realised that I don't have a filing system for the free gifts with magazines so that's a task for a wet weekend :)

However whilst searching I did find a very old UFO - it's a Millennium Sampler which I may have started in 1999 and was definitely stitching in 2000. It's about 3/4 done so I have decided to complete it. The end of 2000 was a very traumatic time for me which is probably where it got put aside and forgotten about.

Inspired by you all I am thinking about my current list of WIPs. I really shouldn't add new projects to the list but I have already collected the requirements for the Emma Bridgewater Diamond Jubilee cushion which was recently in Cross Stitcher and have just seen the matching mug so really want to do this as well.

23rd It sounds like you really enjoyed yourself at the fair.

I think I have a dragon and a wizard kit upstairs somewhere which I havent started yet :rotfl::rotfl:

I have never done any crocheting before, but I know when you go wrong it is very frustrating.

I know when I have made a mistake in stitching I hate it as I have to sit there and find out where I have gone wrong and unpick it all.
cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

  • :( My baby has the POX :(
DD (age 5) came down as she felt hot and we noticed a few spots on her cheek, on closer inspection she has loads of spotties on her tummy and they are appearing before our eyes. :(
Hate it when my kids are ill. And now thinking my op will need postponing....

Sorry for the itchy rather than stitchy post!

On stitchy news, the kit I was planning to stitch in hospital has arrived, I need banning from Ebay!
(They were all bargains - honestly....)

I haven't stitched for a few days now

I ordered evenweave on Mon to start my medieval lady, but it hasn't arrived yet and I don't want to start anything else. Funnily enough the Circe Sorceress stuff which I ordered Tues afternoon ahs arrived -sooo tempting to start but I need to concentrate on that one and I've got a lot on atm.

Dragon - Oops! Glad you arent too disheartened wth it, and still have plenty time to get it done.

AM - hope they aren't TOO itchy - I've seen kids with spots even inside their eyelids which must be so awful. Mine all got it early on and weren't too bad with it thankfully.

  • I thought she must be immune to them, after being exposed about 5 times with no reaction (even shared juice cups with her cousins when they had it!).
I just hope she don't get in to the really sore places!
I have already had someone asking for a pox party?! I thought they were an 80's invention, clearly they are still trendy!

Good on you for having the will power Louise! I hope your evenweave arrives soon!
I am having to resist the urge to start the new kit early, as I want to stitch it for my Grandads birthday (he will be 92 years young :) ) in July, and after the On the Beach fiasco I want to start ASAP.

Dragon - it is so frustrating when you have to redo things! Hope it goes better the second time around :)
