Thanks Mags_Cat that explains it better. I have had a look at the linen and looked on youtube and I understand it much better.

Right...OWN UP...who posted the reference to medieval enchantment?;)

There I was innocently having a look, thinking how nice it was, then I made the mistake of scrolling just a little further down the page and found Circe The Sorceress.....and I want to stitch her....:o

I have found the chart on sewandso, plus the GORGEOUS 'Bewitched' fabric, by the time I put those and the treasure braids/beads in my basket it was sitting at £61:eek::eek::eek: Thanksfully I have the DMC threads or I would have been looking at £87 lol

However, it was 3am and purchases made at that hour are never the wisest so I made myself close the tabs and think about it. 10 hours later and I still want it so I'm shopping around......darn you medieval enchantment!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That was me :D I also looked at that chart aswell. I think they are both Gorgeous. I have looked at all her designs and they are all lovely. :)

This is why I need to wait until next month before I buy the threads. :o

I'm about to start the Happy Happy House from this months Cross Stitcher it says you need 60 x 60 cm Aida, this seams absolutely massive for the size of the design.

    What do you think?

  • anares - I thought similar when doing a chart from another mag, the design looked tiny but when I counted out the size covered by the chart it was about right.
What does it say about finished size?

It says the design size is 26 x 28 cm, I think it's so large as you put backing fabric on it and mount it on a pole. I've ended up chopping some of the fabric off as I'm planning to frame it rather than mount it.

    Thanks for your reply.

I don't think you can, not inside the program anyways, at least I haven't found it yet.

Hello everyone, hope you are all well, not posted in a while, not been too well and been laid up on the sofa most days, but at least I got a LOAD of stitching done, slowly, but still lots lol

Anyways, after 'White Lightning', I decided to rotate to the Peacock I had barely started. I did have to unpick the left hand border, as I made a little mistake!

Anyways, this is what it looked like on 15/01/12 after just one session lol (2 hours and 40 mins worth of stitching):

    2012_01220001-1.jpg

And here is what it looks like as of 08/04/12, and a total stitching time of 64 hours and 10 minutes:

Not got that much left to do, just the rest of the tail and border, but I was getting bored of all the green, so I will be rotating again :D

The good thing about this one though is that I got it on eBay for about £6, I was only after the magazine the chart was in, to add to my collection, but it came with the fabric, threads and beads for the Peacock chart featured in the magazine, so it was a bargain really!
