Lordy, was just looking at Sew & So to get the name of the wedding sampler and saw this and this... Also this other wedding sampler. I think I have a problem :D

Thanks for these links. The Fairy Tale Frog is so cute. I adore the Imagine kit (and also the Dream, Believe and Hope kits in the same range although in my opinion they would be even more stunning on hand dyed fabric (e.g. Polstitches). I might be tempted by a chart but not by the kit (phew) The Wedding Sampler is really unusual though I'm not sure I would tackle it on 18 count aida

It you've got a problem then it's one we all share I think :D

    morning all

did another couple of hours of titanic sky this morning before the kids surfaced.
I 'think' ive only got two on the go at the mo, titanic and fred the little tortoise. but i know in abox upstairs there is a baby birth sampler i started so long ago i cant even remember who it was for they are probally at school now. there are probally other bits up there if i looked properly.

i am plannning on finishing the tortoise for my aunt and then concentrating on titanic. then i can start dropping mega hints to dh about that lovely celtic christmas one the flower of scotland posted the picture of hers. i fell in love with that when i saw it in a shop but i do like how fos took the word 'noel' off to make it more winter instead of christmassy.

The imagine chart is lovely...but I have a feeling I have seen it somewhere before? Maybe it has been in a magazine at some point. I don't think the price is unreasonable for the full kit, but I woudl stitch something like that on lurex fabric to make it sparkly

Hand dyed fabric is another good idea for those designs. I hadn't noticed there were others in the range.....thanks for that :rotfl: I think Hope and Imagine are my two favourites though.

I was thinking sparkly too, but hand dyed would be fab!

Will research the chart only, I think I might have to add it to my list as well... cause it's a unicorn :D

Maybe we should re-name the cafe cross stitchers anonymous?

Hoping I still have the mag at home and that they printed the chart in it, if so I'm sure I have the threads to be able to complete it so fingers crossed! If not I'm hoping someone in the cafe still has it and can ;) the chart :D

Well back to work... (i.e. browsing sew & so, polstitches and the like :D )

This has just arrived from Sew and So http://www.sewandso.co.uk/products/so-many-choices__dim-6861.aspx

It is done on Sail Cloth which I've never used before also the design is printed on to the cloth which I'm quite nervous about, there are also stitches called Stem Stitch and Satin Stitch which I've never done before.

I think I'll have to pluck up the courage to start it.

What about stitching it on sparkly hand dyed? Polstitches do Cashel, Belfast and Lugana with lurex sparkly (as I'm sure you know) I thought Delicate Roses or Heavenly would be lovely ........
