I love the Medieval Enchantment chart.

Linen is lovely to stitch on. I assume you will be stitching over 2 threads. The best tip I was ever given was to make sure you start each cross stitch with an over upright thread on the right of the hole - difficult to explain but if you look at the stitch animation for Cross Stitch Danish on this site I think you will be able to see what I mean. This helps when you are counting threads/holes. If I am stitching a large design I often mark up the fabric with large running stitches - I was never keen on the pen marking method and after reading the horror stories on here I wouldn't risk it on a large piece.

Good luck with the linen stitching - hope you will be another convert to evenweave :D

Sorry I dont know what you mean when you say stitching over 2 threads. To be honest with you I havent got the linen out of the bag yet to have a good look at it. I am waiting to order the threads first. I need to check the bank to see if I can afford them this month or it might be next now. :o I normally do my cross stitching in that way - (Cross Stitch Danish )
I am looking forward to starting it though it look lovely :)

That is the Percy bookmark I stitched for DS and below is the matching Keyring which is going to my dad who likes to be called Papi (French slang for grandpa).

And a Wise Guys Duck update (aka Darth duck!)

And now a Kipper Free wheeling (which would be further along were it not for me having to unpick and re-sew his ear due to putting it in the wrong place :o):

There would have been an update on "On the Beach" but DH has had enough of up loading pics on his phone.
So I have been quite productive this year really :rotfl:
Hope everyone is having a stitchy day :D

    Thank you ladies :)
I intend to finish the ducks and Kipper before the op, so I can take a small kit in to hospital with me. The Dr said I will be in for 3 days at least, so I will need something to keep me busy.
So I have 2 and a half weeks to finish both..... lol

AM - your designs are lovely. I especially like darth duck. I'm sure you'll get both Kipper and the ducks finished in time.

After buying the additional 5 colours that I needed for the HAED, sorting the colours and preparing the evenweave I have decided not to start this design. I had a good look at the pattern and it's too "bitty" for me at the moment. I think that if I start it it will only end up in my unfinished pile.

Anyway over yesterday and today I have finished one of the dragons on the dragons toasting marshmallows picture and all of the background on the Kiongozi - dance Leader (an inherited design from my Mum). I am going to finish the outlining on this design, hopefully tonight and then carry on with the fire and mallows on the dragons toasting marshmallows.

Hope everyone has had a gone weekend. I've done lots of stitching but have found the last couple of days to be a bit of a bore, not really enjoyed it.

It should become clearer when you look at the linen - unlike aida you don't stitch in every hole in the fabric. Let me know if I can answer any queries and I'm sure there will be demos on YouTube to help.
