    Can anyone here help me?

Issue 199 of Cross Stitcher came with a lovely tulip cover kit and I have bid on the cover kit and/or magazine several times now but I consistently get outbid every time. Does anyone here have this mag and/or kit in their stash that they would be willing to part with. I am happy to pay the costs.

    Regards

    Emma

I don't know if this is of any help but in the ads in the latest issue of CS someone is offering issues 171- 227 for £2 inc postage It says " some with free kits" Advertiser is Amanda Lynam email hipposcorner@btinternet.com

I know I have the magazine but not the kit as I remember stitching it. If all else fails I can send you a ;) of the chart as I like to keep my magazine collection complete

Completed this over the past 2 evenings for a friends' baby. I have been waiting to stitch this design since the Aug 2007 issue of Crosstitcher!:rotfl:

Found the perfect frame reduced to £1.50 in Asda, :money:so I picked up 3 of them - I like the ones with the mounts, I think they make a picture look more professional.

Louise This is stunning. So cute -your friend will be thrilled and what a bargain with the frame :money:

I agree that most stitchings look better with mounts and you couldn't have done better if you had had it done professionally:T
  • Maria Your medieval lady is looking good. Love the colours

Louise Hope the filing went well.

I have 9 for Sunday lunch today so not much stitching will get done but hope to have more of a stitchy day tomorrow. I should follow Louise's example and do some sorting/filing and of course it is free insertion weekend on you know where so should also do some listings.

    Happy Easter to you all

    Hi Ladies

As my collection of magazines is ever growing (thanks in part to the charity basket at the local stitchy shop), I am wondering how you all store yours. Do you keep them as whole magazines or disect them and just keep the charts in a file?

    Regards

As much as I would love to keep them as magazines, a collection amassed over 10 years is just too many mags to find space for :o Plus it's really difficult to find what Im looking for.

What I have done (and have been updating this weekend) is take the charts out the mags, put them in a poly pocket and into ring binder. Within the binders I have dividers so all the charts are grouped under a heading eg: Christmas / Baby / Cards / Alphabet / Angels / Fairies / Scenery etc...it makes it easier to find particular styles of chart. (and I get rid of all the advertising) and I tend to ditch any chart which I would never stitch in a million years lol -

I filled 200 pockets last night, I dread to think how many other charts are already in the folders :o

This is the link to the magazine I am looking for Louise. A lovely lady sent me a link to the chart but if I could get the magazine and/or kit, it would be great.

    Thanks

    Emma

Ahhh yes I do remember it - and remember stitching half the flowers and dunno what's happened to it since, sorry I'm no use to you lol :o

Long time lurker of this thread................. I used to be an avid cross stitcher before the children and ebay came along :rotfl:
I'm trying to find this kit online so I can start stitching so its ready for my new nephew in August!

Does anyone know please who may sell it online??

    Any help gratefully received!
  • Hi

Can I join please? I was amazed (ashamed) to see how many unstarted and part started kits I have.

Have decided to make an effort to do "Live in the The Spirit of the Season" and "Walk on the Rainbow Trail" both by Joan Elliott. Fortunately had plenty of spare Aida to start RT and have bought one or two extra skeins to complete it and LSS.

Puzzlingly I have found what looks to be threads and started design for a dream catcher one (possibly "Follow Your Dreams" as I vaguely remember having had one that said that) but so far no chart. I'd like to complete that one, but do I turn the house upside down and hope to find the chart, or grit my teeth and buy the kit again?

    Hi Ladies,

Just checking in! I Have had a sickly OH to deal with over the last few days so not been online. Have been stitching away, working on Dear Santa and the party paws card kit from cross stitch card shop. Will post pics soon!

Glad everything went as well as it could for you Louise, I've been thinking of you.

Welcome to all the new peeps, I'm sure you'll be right at home here!

My stitchy to do list is growing like mad!

I finally got my hands on WOXS (thanks to Emma ;) ) and the unicorn is definitely on there! Love the wedding sampler and the monster ABC as well.

Then my lovely mum handed me Enjoy cross stitching 'hearts & roses' edition, bless her! This is the one.
Some lovely things in there, at least 3 designs I'd like to stitch! Theres a lovely patchwork cushion design, a flowered bag and a 'home is where the heart is' sampler. Also loads of quick card type stitches.... I'm going to be busy! The free gift was good as well I thought, aida, threads and cards, enough for 6 :) Just found a handbag design I want to do on the cover page inside the wallet... Help me!!

Anyway I'll stop waffling and get back to stitching. Hope everyone's having a relaxing weekend.

    Happy Easter all!
