That norovirus is horrendous! I got it when I went to hospital with a sprained wrist. It actually took me a couple of months to recover properly from it :/ (the virus and the wrist!)

*louise* thats lovely. :T Thats quick work. Thought I was quick, but not that quick. What kind of frame are you using to hold your aida together? Is it a plastic frame. Is it better than using a wooden hoop on small/ med projects.

Thanks :)I use a plastic lap frame (from sewandso) for all my large/medium projects. I used to use hoops but since discovering the frame I have never used one again. I find it leaves less marks on the fabric and it's easier on my wrists being able to stitch with two hands, so no more RSI, and much quicker stitching :T

nykied - sorry to hear that, glad you're feeling better now

I think the one Louise uses is the same style as mine from R+R crafts. They go to most of the big craft shows and they sell online direct and through some places like sew and sew. I agree with Louise - I'd not go back to using wooden hoops now, the plastic ones are much easier to use, and it means you can take the frame off between sessions which you can't always if you use the ones you have to sew the fabric to.

Completed this little kit from WOXS for my mum's birthday last night

I really need to practice putting them in the apertures, they always look wonky :o

I've started my sampler too, here is my progress so far...I like the fact it's all little squares as it looks like I've done loads when really I haven't in terms of actual stitches :rotfl:

Mags - Yep, that's the one, one of my top all time cross stitch purchases:T

HP - Liking that design so far, looks simple yet effective. Just a suggestion for your card if I may? Have you tried some iron on interfacing on the reverse of your stitching first? I find it firms it up just enough so that the fabric is more rigid within the aperture. My apologies if you have already done this :o

    Hi ladies.

    Everyone's finished/progress pics are great!

Not much stitching done here recently though I did few stitches this afternoon before getting engrossed in a Lewis episode so the stitching got put away again :D
I took a progress pic on boxing day but hardly any stitches done since my last update so didn't post it. Mind you, there probably won't be much more done by monday which is next update time :rotfl:
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Mags, Louise... Thanks for the lap frame info. Since finding an Emu floor stand in a charity shop, I'm liking using both hands, and although I don't have RSI, I do get sore so am aware that prevention is needed. So, what size would u recommend? I'm thinking the smaller lap frame, as I'm not into huge haeds.
