The smaller one has done me just fine....I'm also using it for a 3ft wide HAED, I just fold and pin the excess fabric at the sides.
that's brilliant, thanks. I,ll ask for it for my birthday I think. Is sew and so the cheapest place to buy? I want a chrysqnthiumn (sp!) kit from there but their 'tell u later' postage policy worrys me.

  • Lovely to have you with us benny. I did this ballerina many years ago and it became quite a labour of love. I don't know if I kept the chart as it got so tatty as it was on the go for so long. :o If you like it I can try and find the details out for you if you like - it may have been dmc but could even be discontinued now as it was quite a while ago. I have since learnt to copy my charts before starting them so that the originals are kept in good condition. Good luck with your search.

Debating whether or not to get stitching out this morning as im taking mum to hospital this afternoon or should I do some housework .............. decisions decisions :rotfl::rotfl:

Sew & So tell you the postage costs once you get to the address stage. You don't have to go as far as payment details. I think it goes by the destination & weight, but I find they're resonable.
Waiting on them to get in lizzie Kate's 'a good marriage' as I want to stitch it for my husband for our 10th anniversary in may. I emailed them yesterday to ask if they'll be stocking it soon and got a reply back very quickly saying yes, just keep an eye out on the what's new page. :D

Don't you just hate it when work gets in the way of stitching. Since I reopened (obviously I gave myself Christmas & New Year off!) I haven't had a minute til now.

Louise - thinks for the link to the interfacing. I need some but didn't have time to search so this will do just fine.

HP - I love the kit from WOXS that you did. Is that the current issue?

I'm off to get my 5 for £5 set up now and then I'll actually pick up my stitching for half an hour. My challenget this month is to finish the owl that I started a while back for my sister in laws birthday.

I won this kit as part of a job lot from ebay so not sure which issue it's from, I do know it's not been in the last 6 months or so as I've been subscribing since then.

i really want to do something a bit different this year. I finally finished my pagan fairy by DMC, it looks really good, i wasn't sure about the white backstitch through the black hair but it really works at a distance. I will have to try and put a piccie up of it at the weekend.

Well my first stitching target is to finish a UFO from last year. I had started a Alice in wonderland piece for a friends birthday last year but just didn't finish, luckily she had no idea about it so no awkward apologies:o but i am determined to get it finished before her birthday this year (march) only really the table to do and the back stitch but its lots of white and light grey making it both a tad boring and difficult to do in the evenings. Once that is finished i would really like to do something for me to actually keep, but soooooooo many choices:D

Am with you on that one - how sad would it be if I won the lottery and when they interviewed me I said I would buy a radiator for the ensuite (cos it is flippin freezing in there) and retire and stitch all day long - not exactly world shattering way to spend the dosh is it :p
