Quick question for anyone who has the Jane Greenoff Cross stitch programme

How the heck do I upload the pictures??

I have tried opening files and images but the folders always appear empty when I get to them so I can't open anything. I had them saved as PNG files, then changed them to JPeg and then something else (can't remember now) but I can't seem to open any.

I don't have a photo of the picture so I can't scan it either :(

Looked at the tutorial but there is nothing relevant

    Hope someone can help! :)

My latest finish - newly collected from the framers this morning. It is going to be a Mother's Day gift from my children to my Mum. Freesias are her favourite flower so hope she likes it.

Soulie - I'm sure it's only you that will know that the colours are different. Luckily the colurs are not next to each other.

    Hopefully!
Not done any stitching today, been playing with my new phone (very early birthday pressie), will do some tonight and see!

Do you mean how to import a photo for it to turn in to a cross stitch chart?

Louise - I have a few anchor threads that I inheritated from my Mum. If you post the number of the floss you need I will check mine and if it's any good you can have it.

I have had a look at the converter, and Anchor 1004 is apparently DMC 920 and it's a pretty good match so I am just going to go with that, but thank you so much for your offer of help :j

Well I've finished the patchwork horse - all except the name and border which I can't do until the baby is born (PG).

Have spent the rest of tonight getting my material ready for the next piece. Don't know whether to get on and start the next one - Footprints - or to finish onw of my UFO's. If I finish one of the UFO's not sure which to do. Will try to post a couple of pictures and see what you all think.

Slightly worried that I may get demotivated stitching footprints. It has quite a bit of work in it and as I have finished my last two pieces in 3 weeks for each of them I think going over 3 weeks I might start to get bored.

I think the patchwork horse is lovely - I think I recall seeing it before in a magazine a long time ago.

Which version of Footpriints are you doing? I can't recall if you have posted a link to it. If you get bored after 3 weeks then just take a break, do something else and go back to it :D

  • Susan42 Love your koalas and only you will know it's not the correct shade of grey (apart from everyone who reads this thread of course but we are very forgiving as we have all made similar mistakes :D )
View from a Window is a lovely design if quite ambitious

Shelly - thanks for the link I have that book and really like it (didn't pay full price but paid more than £3.99 :()

brednall - the freesias are delightful and the frame really sets off your stitching - I'm sure it will be a much appreciated gift

I didn't get any stitching done last night as I was too tired after a very long day at work and I know that stitching when tired often leads to mistakes  Hope to make better progress tonight.

If the folders are showing up empty then maybe a filter is on, when you open the import/open box in the drop down at the bottom select all file types. Only guessing here as i don't have the program so might be totally wrong :rotfl:BTW is the program istitch? i found this on another forum
According to the software company you have to rename your .jpg files .pt7

I'm not quite sure what you mean :o
But to import a photo from your computer in to the program do the following:

    File >
    Import >
    Image Importing >

    On the pop up box:

    File >
    Open >
Locate the .jpg (best quality of the 3 available options) >
    Hit Open >

Select size of finished cross stitch, amount of colours, type pf thread and fabric count >

    Hit import

It's the historical sampler company "Fire Engine" one. Again, I am happy to PDF this for anyone if they want it. Just PM me.

    Toodles xx
