Hi everyone, I have a pile of ufos which I really need to complete - the first one being a meg and mog picture
I was wondering if anyone could help me with looking for a chart that was in Cross Stitch Crazy magazine. Just to be helpful, I have no idea how old it is either
It is for Popcorn the bear and it was a free cover kit with the magazine and he is holding a red blanket. I am awful for doing this, I find loads of free kits stashed away but forget to put the charts with them. If anyone has a copy or at least knows the issue number so I can try and track it I would be really really grateful. Right on with meg and mog whilst the little ones are napping xxx
Hi, I was sorting through my magazines the other day, and I'm sure I came across that issue, I will pop upstairs now and have a look for you
ETA. Found it! Cross Stitch Crazy, March 2005, Issue 70. Popcorn holding a red blanket, do you want me to scan it for you? PM me your email address and I'll send it to you (Presuming it's the same one lol)13 Projects in 2013 Finished: 5 of 13

ooooh thank you have pm'd you
I have loads of little pictures in frames and I was thinking of taking them out and making them into a patchwork wallhanging type thing. They were all up on the wall around the baby's cot and it seems a shame not to do anything with them. Cover kits are probably the ideal size for doing this.

I found a really *different* pattern for the four seasons and I had to buy it....
Just for good measure I bought the Eden one as well...:o

Louise - I have a few anchor threads that I inheritated from my Mum. If you post the number of the floss you need I will check mine and if it's any good you can have it.
FlowersofScotland - the stitch animator that oyu posted the link to is great. I have a piece of work which uses various pulled sticthes and I gave up trying to understand the instructions. Will find it out and give it another go now. Thanks.
Arwenelf - welcome to the forum. Just to warn you - we do encourage each other to finish projects, however we also more than encourage each other to buy new ones. But it's all good fun. I think the idea of turning the small projects into a quilt or wall hanging is really good.
Susan42 - what kit did you buy?
Soulie - I started this one many moons ago to. Have no idea what I did with it.
Mags-cats - I like those charts. Will be interesting seeing these being stitched.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Re: Communion crosses - I have the pattern for this if it's any good. Sorry it's sideways - I WILL learn how to rotate them the right way!!
The cross is brown and the flowers are purple and it fits into a A5 frame easily."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Well I've finished the patchwork horse - all except the name and border which I can't do until the baby is born (PG).

Have spent the rest of tonight getting my material ready for the next piece. Don't know whether to get on and start the next one - Footprints - or to finish onw of my UFO's. If I finish one of the UFO's not sure which to do. Will try to post a couple of pictures and see what you all think.
Slightly worried that I may get demotivated stitching footprints. It has quite a bit of work in it and as I have finished my last two pieces in 3 weeks for each of them I think going over 3 weeks I might start to get bored.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

I found this cover kit yesterday, after being let down on eBay with the item not showing up, as I needed something for Mother's Day, so I thought this would fit the bill.
Obviously I had started it when I used to smoke as I can smell stale smoke on it, and I gave up in March 2005, so this one will defo need washing after it's finished.
This was how it was left:
I wish I hadn't have found, and decide to do this
The pic above was how I found I had left it in 2005, So yesterday I figured I would start with the background in the top left, I pretty much got all the light pink squares done (the first top left hand corner symbol).
Then I got about half of the dark pink (red square with black heart symbol) done, before I ran out of thread, luckily I managed to colour match some DMC I had, and I pretty much stitched all of that, apart from some down the right hand side), while doing that I also did the pink with hollow heart (which was a half cross stitch) as it used the same colour.
So tonight, I figure I would finish filling in the bear, only to find out there wasn't half as much needed thread as there should have been, so I was lucky again and managed to colour match TWO further shades, however, there was a third I couldn't match up, so I made do with just using another colour that I had colour matched before on the bear
NOW, I have realised that I need to do the bottom right hand corner of four light pink colour, and I ran out of that, so when I tried to colour match using an Anchor to DMC convertor, I don't have the exact shade, however, I do have a colour that is ONE number away, so I am gonna go try that one now, and see if you can tell   :mad:13 Projects in 2013 Finished: 5 of 13

Soulie - I'm sure it's only you that will know that the colours are different. Luckily the colurs are not next to each other.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
