Well I've finished the patchwork horse - all except the name and border which I can't do until the baby is born (PG).

Have spent the rest of tonight getting my material ready for the next piece. Don't know whether to get on and start the next one - Footprints - or to finish onw of my UFO's. If I finish one of the UFO's not sure which to do. Will try to post a couple of pictures and see what you all think.

Slightly worried that I may get demotivated stitching footprints. It has quite a bit of work in it and as I have finished my last two pieces in 3 weeks for each of them I think going over 3 weeks I might start to get bored.

This is lovely and I'm sure will be much appreciated.

Everyone's progress and finishes are great!

No stitchy news here. I was full of good intention yesterday but just didn't get round to doing any stitching. Will hopefully get some done today.
Though I did see a couple of bargain kits on ebay but had to resist because last week I was looking for something in my stash and saw kits I forgot I had :o

I love the patchwork horse :D it looks beautiful

I have finished my first xstitch which was a learning curve I can tell you, didnt understand the 1/4 stitch things but think I`d got the hang of it at the end.

Other thing was I did it in the wrong colour grey, its too dark, wondered why I d run out of the dark grey and had loads of lighter grey left

I have purchased xstitch, a view from a window, but think I best keep practicing...

thanks Ruth but I am sure it is hidden in the abyss of my living room somewhere, will have a look later if the little have a nap this afternoon - can you tell I also need to join th flylady thread again? lol. That patchwork horse is lovely. I think I have the chart for that somewhere but must not start anymore new projects until the ufos are done...... Perhaps if I name them I will be motivated to make a start on finishing them.
    1) Meg and Mog
    2) a moonlit whale picture (can't remember what it is called)
    3) Indian wedding blessing
    4) Birth sampler (eldest is now five)
I probably have numerous little projects stashed somewhere as well........

why oh why aren't there enough hours in the day?????? Why do I need to sleep?????? lol

  • Susan how cute are those pandas :) Very good stitching too, for your first attempt. My first attempt (at 12) was much worse than that, i think you are doing well. Love the kit you have just purchased too its very summery. What are you going to do before that?

Soulie, that FF chrat looks lovely, shame about not having enough threads. I have some cover kits that I have kept because I like but I am worried about starting them for fear that I will run ot of thread :o

Als, love, love, love that patchwork donkey very colourful. Can't wait to see it finished :D

I have been working away on london and I have now finished a full page except the metalic thread that I always leave until last. Just finishing off a half finished page tonight and hope to give you an update on Wednesday. Its coming together slowly :T

I'm always struggling to keep up with the thread lately, lots of great work!

susan - Hello. I'm impressed with your first attempt, looks so sweet :) I'm sure you'll enjoy stitching your kit.

Louise - As usual I can't believe how quickly you finished, looks great! And I bet it won't be long before Candlelight is finished too!

Ailsb - I love the patchwork horse, nice to see it finished.

I've not done any of African Sunset since my last update, and I've only stitched Tigger on In The Meadow, so it's not worth a photo update this week.

I have started the Fizzy Moon card that came with last months magazine though. I wasn't impressed when I got the kit out (I had taken it with me to get on with whilst I was waiting for an appointment yesterday), and found the most useless blunt needle I'd ever seen! Trying to force it through the aida on the fractional stitches drove me mad, so I was glad to get home and use one of my own needles. It makes a nice change to be stitching something so small and easy :)
