    Morning all

Started stitching this last night http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Home-Sweet-Home__ANC-ACS16.aspx

A simple design with only 5 or 6 colours so will hopefully complete it quite quickly. I am aiming for a letter a night but whether this will last, who knows???

I even have my own little Alice :rotfl: - DD went through an 'Alice' phase just over a year ago - I had to buy a second dress just so I could get the other one in the wash, she loved it so much lol

Louise - your own little "Alice" is just adorable

How sad that the asking price is only £20 for all that work. That's why sites like this are great because we appreciate how much effort goes into the projects we share here.

Roses finished Feb 29th by XS77, on Flickr

Well I set myself a aim to get this done by the end of feb. And if it hadn't been for leap year it wouldn't of happened. All washed and dryin now - will try and get it in a frame and given before the weekend - so it can be my first "complete" finish.:rotfl:

Thanks FLOWEROFSCOTLAND for the heads up about the fabric for the peacock. If you could ;);) me the chart I'd be very grateful! I just hope I can get the hang of evenweave.

I got my WOXS yesterday, there is not much in it that appeals to me at all, I may possibly do some egg markers for my newphews for Easter. I do like the look of the flower bucket in the sneak peek from next month. I really don't think this is the mag for me as I don't do cutesy stuff or like teddy stitches. The home sweet home free gift is nice. Ahhh now I write it down it, I do like the cards too so yes it was worth the £1. Though I will only subscribe if I get a £5 for 5 offer or similar. I think I will take out a sub to Cross Stitcher as I seem to see more in the few issues I have bought that I would put on a to do list. Must look out for any offers for that mag!

Benny - your roses are beautiful. As you finished it on a "special day" 29 02 12 have you considered adding the date? Even if you don't stitch it on the front you could consider putting something on the back?
Will have a look through my Just Nan patterns at the weekend. I recommend a magnifier for stitching on evenweave if you haven't tried it before and as someone else has mentioned putting a white cloth (eg towel, tea towel, pillowcase) on your lap while stitching on dark fabric helps to make the holes easier to see.

This is lovely - looking forward to seeing your progress.

While I was having a look at your new project I spotted this birth sampler which I have added to my wish list on sewandso for next time I need to stitch a birth sampler

Though I wish it came as a chart as I would swap the aida for evenweave which makes it an expensive buy :(

    Found this site. http://www.historicalsamplercompany.co.uk/product.php?productid=16373
They sell it in kit form with a choice of aida or linen or just as a chart pack. Both are having discounts taken off at checkout but the chart pack had a delivery charge where the kit doesn't. Worth bearing in mind when deciding which is the best value, whole kit or just chart pack I guess :)
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

And now we know why I'm sitting with 91 pieces of completed work and can't really do anything with them :rotfl:I had the pleasure of stitching them though, which was the fun part :D

Soulie - I've never really looked at HAED designs may drop by the site and have a glance. Need to be good as going to the Stitching show at the NEC at the end of March and would like a bot of money left to treat myself if I see anything.

Like I just said to Louise, at half price it was worth a looksie :)

Anyways, the OH got me my first HAED :T, and he's gonna get me the thread and fabric to go with, and put it away for either my birthday or for Christmas, which I don't mind, as I know there is no way I would start it this year anyways!
