*Louise* What a beautiful lil Alice. I seem to remember a repunzil chart in an old stitching magazine, I will have to have a look through and get back to you, and there is a beautiful one by Teresa Wentzlers best of fantasy book.

I love her designs but haven't attempted one yet.

Well I placed my order with Polsititches today, got a little more than intended but once I find a chart I have been searching for for ages I just can't resist:o also got one of her variety bags of aida to get some idea of the dyed fabric, a reasonable price and Im sure I will think of tons of designs to use them with. Now I'm just excitedly waiting for the postman:j

I even have my own little Alice :rotfl: - DD went through an 'Alice' phase just over a year ago - I had to buy a second dress just so I could get the other one in the wash, she loved it so much lol

She was 3 at the time, Rapunzel is the favourite now lol (keep meaning to find a Rapunzel to stitch!)

    She's just gorgeous! :)

Good to see so many Alice in wonderland fans here. Some friends and I once spent a whole day dressed as the characters and enjoying ourselves with a mad hatters tea party and games( who says you have to act your age). The friend I am stitching it for has a love of the mad hatter, hence the choice of design.

Thanks for the good reviews of polstitches I will be placing an order soon.

I got all the yellow on my fan finished last night and started the leaves. Hopefully I will have the second fan completely finished by the end of the week and be able to start the last one.

Have a fab stitchy Wednesday everyone.
Not cross stitch but have you seen the Everything Alice book?

  • In spite of being tempted by lots of lovely stitchy goodies online at the weekend I decided to be a good:money:and source my next projects from my stash. So I have sorted out some fabric for stitching Dear Santa (thanks Skoobie), and started 26 Stitches by The Drawn Thread using a piece of antique white linen from my stash and a skein of Caron Waterlillies silk which I bought ages ago
and also Keep Calm and Cross Stitch from Cross Stitcher magazine which I am doing on red 32 count Belfast linen (bought from Willow Fabrics at half price a while ago) and white perle#8 thread - I have about a third of a cone which was given to me by a friend of a friend who knew I was a stitcher. Here is what I have managed so far

I got my copy of moon goddess in a magazine - think it was cross stitch collection. Typing this at work so can't say but will check when I get home and let you know what issue. The one I am looking for to complete the set is rose goddess. I am making up the set of moon goddess, green goddess, rose goddess and christmas goddess. I have charts for them all except rose. Not too keen on the father sun.

    sweetcarer ;)

Ok dokie I have checked now I am home and dinner is cooking.

It is issue 166 of cross stitch collection.

Louise - your lil Alice is beautiful.

FlowersofScotland - your designs are coming along really quickly and look lovely already.

Soulie - I've never really looked at HAED designs may drop by the site and have a glance. Need to be good as going to the Stitching show at the NEC at the end of March and would like a bot of money left to treat myself if I see anything.

Just to let people know the link for 5 copies of WOXS for £5 is live again. I've just resubsrcibed - my last copy was the December issue so hoping this will be okay. https://secure3.subscribeonline.co.uk/origin/offers.sol?mag=WOCS
