    Hello all :j

rufus...........love the bag. :T You must have some patience to do that.

I've been downright lazy lately..........apart from painting and dead heading a few flowers to try and save the seeds till next year I've done nothing. I did go into town on Thursday but nothing there screaming ''buy me'' so I came home with nothing. Still was nice to get out and the weather's been lovely..........no rain ! So much for what forecasters say.

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi all sorry to have been missing for awhile.
Things are looking good Christmas wise and after the next 3 mental weeks at work (18 hour days :o ) I am going to..... Start wrapping presents and getting them into their stockings and bagged up in recycling bags with names on (is it just me or do they give you wayyyy too many recycling bags?) and then put up the loft this is going to be so relieving as I've got pretty much everyone's presents in my room at the moment as dad won't go in there, and I am really struggling to move for presents, so YAY!

I've been picking up offers and things when I see them from all over the place, we have a rule for our stocking fillers each item has to cost under £3 (we did £2 last year and it got abit hard and we only started in September last year) So we've been doing it since January and it's made it so much easier and fun, only problem we are finding now is that we've got some really good stuff for really cheap that we are turning them into actual presents rather than stocking fillers!!

So that is how I am progressing :) I also have a Turkey in the freezer already ha

I'm glad I'm not the only one who forgets things!! it was my 30th bday, and off to Tunisia, - normally fly from Manchester, going with some friends, she texted to say were off, I texted her back, safe journey, why are you leaving so early, its only 20mins for u to manchester, she replied back, you dozy sod, were flying from Birmingham!!

Home safe we had 2 weeks in Wales, got a dongle, but could get it to accpet payment, so gave up after a week of trying.

Miss Hoodie loved it, she did a sealion encounter, wanted dad to have a tatser of what we did in Dom rep, she loved it, we went up the Great orme, but she had to come up on the train, too windy for the cable cars.

Shes brill at the bingo boards, we had a budget of £1 each for bingo and £1 each for 2ps, she won 12 tokens,

Very un mse - she has fallen in love with a caravan at the site, only 35k, but the bloke do it for 30k for a cash sale (now where did I leave that money tree and the lottery numbers. Got to say it was lush....

Mums had her stitches out, the nurse was impressed with the quality of the stitching, - should be it was a plastics surgeon.

This is never the best time, but start making some plans of where you need to be, how many people have you got to cook for, or can you put your feet up and some one else cooks for you!!

    My Time
This is the selfish corner, - for me having no internet for 2 weels - after 1st week I was fine, - made me realise we take technology for granted.
(I did get my time, I read some books on the kindle, even had a book by the bed.
Find something you like, take some me time.

Thank you for the challenge, I think I'm upto date. have to check with OH about the Christmas wrapping paper. as for gift tags I order them off vista . design my own ...

we got new neighbours that a relief. they're an old couple so don't expect to be woken up in the middle of the night by them. .. took ages to sell next door and they rented it out way too cheap and ended up with a young couple who wanted to fight every weekend.

rufus that bag is absolutely lush , I'm going to head over to your blog and have a look , was it hard to make

Mary I go like that sometimes. can shop all day and see nothing. .. and when I'm skint I see loads.

WB ameyturtle , good organising but 18 hour days !! I remember them well but how tiring. make sure you look after yourself

Susan the bag was not that hard to make, hardest part of it is sewing it all together especially round the bottom and getting the handles on

Hello all. Cant believe its august already! Happy birthday mrsmoneypenny I reach the over 50s club next august and have decided to do 50 fun things new to me in the 50 weeks leading up to it. I love the bag rufus and may add that to my list.
Friend's 31st birthday party yesterday. Her fave song is 'total eclipse of the heart' so filled a jam jar with love hearts (£1.20) then put label on saying
    Total eclipse of the heart
    1) put one love heart in mouth
    2) shut mouth thereby totally eclipsing heart.
:rotfl: went down very well. Have a good idea for a christmas one. When i've done it i'll post a photo

    Hello all :j
You're all so organised......guilt is setting in:eek: Can't believe I'm so behind myself this year. Ideas in my head but done not a thing ! This week's trip into town will be to get a shoe box and some pretty paper I can cover it with .....both sons partners have birthdays between now and xmas.........one in October, one December......can't fit two shoe boxes in my wheelie shopper bag (I don't think, but could try) Then at least I can get their birthday stuff done ready. Eldest sons birthday next week but he's decided he wants money .........that makes it easier. At least his card had been made.....did that months agoo.

So, you lot have given me a kick up the backside and I'll make a start......promise.

    Hope you're all ok:)

    Challenge...

    Birthdays-

Ooh, right. We have one child turning 2 and one child turning 1, plus my dad, two nephews and one niece, plus two friends (one of whom already has his gift). I will dig these gifts out, wrap them and pack them up for posting, and then I will mark the calendar on the appropriate posting dates.

    Christmas

Not making cakes this year. Nobody but me eats it.

    The Chat

We'll be here, and on the 26th we will invite people over as with every year.

    My Time

I'm planning an early night with a book :)

    Back to School/College

My baby is starting kindergarten! I need to find the list of stuff she needs, they've not sent it out yet. But once we have it I'm totally on top of that.
