Miss Hoodie finally got her ballon flight, thou it was touch and go the night before the recorded message said yes, be there at 6.30am, - her and dad got there, but was really misty, so they had to drive about 30 miles to another launch site.
She absolutly loved it, they flew mainly over countryside, and a historic house, they had champagne when they landed, thou bless her she the orange juice. She only wants to go up in one again!! and dad go again with her, he jumped at that.
Told her shes got to wait!!
The smile on her face, was just amazing, I guess it was an amazing experience, - I like my flights in comfort!!!
Started operation tidy up, gutted the one garage, we emptied the loft in 2005, and moved the boxes down there, a lot of bottom draw stuff!!. We brought 2 boxes worth of stuff up to the house, got 5 boxes worth for car boot, and rest is there for as and when!
Even found some Christmas presents, - set of boxed candles, - they were origianally £20, and there was a £2 price tag, so was even money saving before I knew of the site. Found 3 boxes, using 2 for bday presents, putting the other up for friends daughter wedding, its a saga, if it happens small family affair, but token jesture present.
Tomorrow - Photo wack of stuff for ebay, wrap some presents, off out sat 4 day, and need some.......
Have just checked my xmas list and just have 8 people to get - allowing myself a budget of £50 for the remaining items
1- Uncle - small present - £5
2 - friend - budget £5 - off mum (as changed her bday prezzies around thinking of using them for xmas) will be free
3 - friends hubby - 6 bottles real ale £10
4 - eldery neighbour - usually do food hamper £5 maximum budget
5 - cafe we use on hols - Box of biscuits or tin chocs £5
6 - neighbour - bottle Jack Daniels (blown the budget - there a godsend) £15
7 - older male friend - thinking engraved bookmark £7 on ebay, already got tie and cuff links designer!! (from Tunisia)
8 - good friend - (need to post) thinking engraved compact mirror
Think Miss Hoodie getting Kindle from mum and dad, she has mentioned the 3DSiXL, moment won't be heldto ransom over the price.
Mum -- £20 off Miss Hoodie (in odds and sods) £30 off me (hard to buy for she would rather have knickers than anything else)
Dad - £20 off Miss Hoodie - Hit the beer aisle £30 off me Bottle whisky, some beer, few nick nacks
£10 each for stocking, - me, mum, dad and Miss Hoodie - I put £20 and mum gives me £20 sort that out.
The most important bit the money!! (excluding the four of us)
Budget £445
Spent £194.70
Saved £235.30

Not christmas but we had the most weird experience this afternoon, took some flowers upto the Crematorium, and when we were in chapel a Red Admiral butterfly flew in and landed on mums skirt, she freaked a bit, so took it off her and flew onto Miss Hoodies hand, it stayed there, Miss Hoodie walked around with it, dad took her to where my sisters ashes were buried, and the butterfly jumped off her hand and went on the ground, but wouldn't move off the spot, then as Miss hoodie walked away the butterfly came back to her, we sat on the bench for 15mins, the butterfly was there, we tried lining it up with flower bushes, no, it even stayed whislt Karen got in the car, we opened the windows so it would fly out, stayed put, drove off, but the minute we got to the exit gate the butterfly flew away, and went back into the crem.
Peaceful, lovely but a weird experience, sods law hadn't got camera or phone to take the pic. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
