I have put sweets we had as kids, love hearts, curly wurly etc, in them in the past. Don't think he got much of a look in as others saw childhood memories. Could also put in a scratch card, every day use shower gel, deo etc.

So exicted, just sorted hol for half term - the site we normally use the caravans are getting older + the prices going up, no heating bar the fire, ok we have the dog, but the prices were unbelievable, changed to a site 50 yards away, for £50 less, we have a 2 yr old lodge, 40ft x 28ft, 3 bedroom, 2 x ensuite, optional hot tub, (bit cold for October!!), washing machine...........
The only thing we lose is indoor heated pool, but we dont use it in Oct as its too cold, Miss hoodie is just dancing around the room in exictment.

The car has been to garage re lights (darling daddy!!), there being fixed on Wednesday and its having its MOT...... so fingers, toes and everything crossed, as MOT fund not looking as good as planned!! xx

    Hello all :j

mum2one - prize received..........do thank Miss Hoodie for me :T

gettingtherequickly - a retro sweet box is a good idea...........men are so hard to buy for.
I did them for my sons the other year (both grown up now) - got a smallish plastic tool box and filled it with all sorts of sweets, as many as I could get that they had as kids. They loved it.

Had massive thunderstorm and rain yesterday afternoon............thought it would never stop ! Town was flooded......tescos car park, shops had to close and still are closed. Electric kept going on and off so I got the candles out just in case. I think it stopped about 4 ish...............got dinner -all set to log on and the power went for over an hour ! Really eerie it was........so quiet outside, even the birds weren't about.
Thank goodness we didn't get it as bad as others. Foster daughters in laws were flooded out and they live in a bungalow !
Oh well.......least theres been no rain today.

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Mum2one Thank you and Miss Hoodie for prize it was lovely and so very kind of you both.

Regarding retro sweets, candy stores are selling the wonka sweets and chocolate bars which could be an idea for sweet hamper as they are a little different

I have been creative tonight, Miss Hoodie had a felt style bag that was precut to sew up, we found them when gutting my bedroom, we'd had them about 4 yrs... she didn't want them as they looked babyish. So sewed the one up and using it as the gift bag for my friends bday prezzie, - got her some me to you goodies, and just ordered a compact mirror from ebay, £4.99 and they put a pic of your choice on it, so had one done of her and hubby pulling funny faces!,

The plan is get July + Augs bday prezzies sorted _ wrapped 2mor theres 3 to do. x

    Hello all :j

mum2one - you do sound organised. I ought to be with the drawers full of ''stuff'' for pressies. Just need to cover the boxes I've got them I could even start wrapping some christmas stuff !
Got a birthday due in July...........doing a 'tea hamper' for that one then eldest son is August.......he normally asks for a CD or DVD or something like that. He's not really into my ''concotions'.............lol
Might feel more like getting around to it once OH has seen consultant on Wednesday and we know whats happening with him.

Hope you're all ok and didn't suffer too bady with the rain we had :)
