Plan A - Car Boot this morning, unfortunately had mum really poorly, shes had her cellitus flare up again, so can't be left without anyone in the house, but shes on the mend.
Plan B - We made 20 christmas cards, some birthday tags, so Miss Hoodie was happy.
Worked out while had mum in bed poorly, kicked dad upstairs to watch the football!! so I made some gift tags ready for their wedding anniversary - found some gold stickers all home made and poshish!!
Had happy daddy today - thou his face was a picture when he opened his one fathers day present, - a snow shovel (it was reduced on Amazon. The bottle of whisky recieved a big smile!!
Bless her miss Hoodie brought dad a packet of liquorise catherine wheels from Bailey, he was so funny as bailey was trying to get into the packet himself.. the sweets have disappeared to his secret stash upstairs... that secret that Miss Hoodie goes and helps herself to the liquorise she likes.
Dundelldoll - love the sound of the beans, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hello all :j
Another cheapie idea.........
Empty coffee jar or similar
toilet roll middle
metal base of tea light (without candle)
wedge toilet roll or cardboard tube cut to fit. Pop glue dot or blue tak on the bottom of tea light holder and place inside the jar (as central as you can). Fill up around outside the tube with dried beans (I used hair bobbles for grandaughter, raw plugs for eldest son as his was for his shed).
Pop a fiver inside or message -put the lid on with either a fabric topper or just leave it plain for blokes) stick label on saying 'dried beans' or whatever is in the jar. The idea being that its a secret hiding place for an emergency fiver, spare keys, etc.
Had real sort out of wicker baskets stacked under computer desk.......emptied them all out and the stuff that was in them can go in the other storage boxes in the spare room. Wicker baskets are now in the kneehole part of the kitchen dresser for tablecloths, placemats and other stuff we don't use regularly.
Tomorrow cleaner comes and we're sorting out the other 3 canvas storage boxes.
Also cleared another drawer........amazing what you find....can see this year being another cheapie or recycled stuff..............lol So far and expanding file with classic painting on it, photo albums I'll never use due to size, chocolate box ideal to be recovered and put pressies in -all added to the pile upstairs.:T
At least once its all sorted the cleaner will be able to see the floor space the hoovers not seen yet.................lol
Hope you're all wellI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Well I have had a busy morning, more sewing. I have a date for my craft fair now, not until 5th August so giving me a bit of time to get some more bits organised for it. I had a Vistaprint banner come which is lovely and I am going to pin it to the table cloth at the front of my stall. Also got some postcards printed to give out. I have made loads of the key rings now. I bought 100 of the metal rings and am down to the last 6. Made some kids bags too yesterday out of the felt.
This morning I decided to make a start on YD's fancy dress outfit. Not sure if I told you already but she is having a party at my ED's house for her 17th in July and everyone has to come dressed as a super hero or villain. She wants to go dressed as Harley Quinn from the Batman comics (google it if you want to see what she is like, I nearly fell on the floor when I saw the outfit and she wanted me to make it lol). I have made a start on the white blouse bit this morning and made the wrist bands with the spikey studs in so thats a bit towards it.
OH is off for a week from tomorrow and its supposed to be a nice day tomorrow so we are going for a walk up the town in the morning then hoping to spend a bit of time out in the garden while the sun's out.
Forgot to add, I have lost another 3lbs this week so thats 1 stone and 2lbs altogether, very happy with myself0 -
