Has anyone got any ideas for stocking fillers for my 11 year old son. Hes got everything, just cant think of anything at all. Girls are so much easier to buy for than boys.

does he have a favourite football team, thinking if you go via vistaprint and their offers - my friends boys bday - had a mug saying Daniel No 1 Man Utd supporter, and got him pen and notepad to match. x

When you say stocking fillers do you mean little cheap things just for the stocking, or do you mean proper presents, as people seem to have different ideas about what constitutes a stocking filler. To me, they are just little bits and pices which fit in a stocking and I wouldn't pay more than a couple of pounds for them. My son will be 11 just after Xmas and I have already got him some xmas boxer shorts in the sale, will probably get a paper glider kit as they are always fun, and probably a keyring of whatever he's into then, as he has a keyring collection. He also likes fossils and gemstones so if I can find any of that kind of stuff cheaply through the year it goes in, plus the free lego from the sun and probably a top trumps set. Finish with a candy cane and a pack of chocolate coins and I'm done. My daughter is much easier to find stuff for though!

Im sure things will go ok with letter writing, i dont have to go to court in July now as my solicitor is going on my behalf, what a relief. Still havnt filed my statements yet as i didnt have a solicitor until last week. They are 2 months late woops lol

that brill youve got a solicitor, I really don't know what I would have done without mine, I wouldn't worry about the documents being late, solicitors usually inform the court there representing you and they go from there.

As b4 if un need anything Im only a pm away, now grounded till lapland!! xx

Miss Hoodie has asked for an ipod for xmas, but thats all she wants!! got around it instead of direct no, as youve got quite good mp3 player, looks ike a cheap ipod, and think on holidays, you wouldn't be able to go in the pool, as there would be no-one to look after the stuff, its ok leaving a book or suntan lotion, but not anything expensive!! so shes going to have a think about something else.
I explained that why didnt take kindle away, brought some cheap books and left them there. thou bless her heart she did say she would have a think about something else.

Hows the £1 challenge coming on, miss hoodie is ready and waiting, shes got a little prize from Tunisia, don't worry its not a camel, but were havign 2 winners.. All will be revealed on next santas chal;lege - give u a lue rubber gloves to the ready... xx

    Hello all :j

Stocking fillers for my kids when they were young used to be realy little cheap and cheerful things that would fit in the stocking that hung on there bedroom door handle. Little games, chocolate, pencils and little notepad........anything really long as it was cheap and they were allowed to play with whatever they had and couldn't open the main presents till we got up.............this was in the days of them waking up in the middle of the night...............lol

mum2one - £1 challenge ? Oh crikes, lost track of that and haven't done it but got the stuff to do a 'pamper pot'............freebies of soap, bath oil, small candle, one of those mesh things folk use instead of a flannel (can't think what they're called) moisturiser, body lotion. All free samples -candle was one of ours-bought the mesh thing for 50p I think. Covered an empty twiglets box (not counting cost of twiglets as we'd have bought them anyway) with bubble pattern paper, sticker of lady in a bath printed off internet so total cost would be about 80p I think. Hard to price up paper as it was in a pack of offcuts and how do you work out ink for printing and glue as I already had it ?

Did another 'empty twiglet tub' thing. This one was an 'elevenses pot'..............assorted tea bags from freebie board and coffee things......the ones you get from hotels (yes I know its naughty ) biscuits in their wrappers courtesy of OH when he was in hospital last year......they always gave them to him, he gave them to me so they went in the pot.
Covered the tub with paper with cups and saucers -reused wrapping paper that was -and a picture of a cup of coffee/tea as a label with ''elevenses'' typed on. Cost of that was really nothing. Does that count ?

Hope you're all ok and not too bored by football:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

If I hear the word football again, I'm scream!! glad to be organising xmas....
mary those ideas are fab. thinking of you 2ngt emptied an icecream container, and was thinking what would Mary do with that - now getting used a mini rubbish bin.

Fun with Vistaprint, did 3 orders, mid May, - due by 4th June, nothing, having a panic, as some bits were meant for fathers day (couple of tshirts) and other bits were ready for xmas and mum + dads anniversary, - was going to just reorder - till tried and 1 order came in at £25 (without postage) id only paid £5, so rang them, felt awful as all 3 parcels gone astray they were really nice said they'd reorrder them all for me and do them on 7 day delievery as a valued customer, so fingers crossed. xx

Something I came across on another thread about walk in centres, and what they can or can not prescribe.

Its from personal experience, but clicked tonight that it maybe of use to someone else.

At the moment, all my medical records are at my GP surgery, although there are some at the hospital, at present our county is not part of the ones that release your medical records to central database.

So if I visited my local walk in clinic, i wouldn't be able to get a fraction of my medication, what I was advised by a doctor at the NHS walk in centre was to drop a copy of my repeat prescription off and ask for it to be put onto my patient records there. That way if anything happens or i run out of anything major, I can get it.

Also if anyone has any holidays coming up, whether its in the UK or abroad have a copy of your repeat prescription.

1 - UK - if you need mediciation you have proof that your on x,y,z
2 - Abroad- Going through customs your covered. espically if you have needles - diabetics or epi pens - i always pack my epi pens in a sealable bag and put through the x-ray seperate. Customs in the Uk are ok dealing with them as its pretty much the norm now, but it covers you.

Also take an extra couple of days medication with you, any delays or you find you need more pain relief than at home.

    Fuss pot mode over!! xx

Thanks all for your help with sugestions for stocking fillers, by stocking fillers i did mean little cheap gifts.

mum2one Thanks again for offering your advice, my son is having an ipod for his birthday in a couple of weeks, they are so expensive as he is having the ipod touch. Also you cannot expand the memory on them which is annoying but the kids love them and they do get well used.
