Nice challenge Mum2one. I am off out this morning so I am going to go through it better tomorrow.

I had the set of books come today I bought off ebay for MGS. They are really in a nice condition, in a special tin. The people I bought them off mis calculated on the weight and its cost them more to send them than I paid altogether. Not my problem though. I have decided to put the tin away for Christmas so that will be his main present sorted. The books are some of the Alex Rider series which seems to be coming big at the moment.

The other sets I bought from WH Smith might be there by Monday if I go up the town. I can use them for his birthday.

I will catch you all later as OH waiting to go, Rufus xx

Santas Challenge - January (soz its a bit late!)

    TWO HOURS LATE!! :naughty::)

    Presents

I can't believe you're still looking for your MIA cards :rotfl:

All my gifts except for DH's big Christmas gift are purchased, spreadsheeted and put away. I did get some extras in the Boots 75% sale because I am naughty but none of them are of the sort that will expire anytime soon.

    Cards

Bought loads from Oxfam and some from Tesco, the Edward Monkton ones :) sorted out for at least the next year.

    Recycle / regift / remake

I have been very lucky and not had anything to regift :)

    VistaPrint

I want a cotton tote bag, but I don't think I need anything else.

    Lists and Budgets

Oooh, someone I've known for years made absolutely no effort to see me the last two times I've been in the UK so I have a birthday and Christmas gift for her and both occasions have passed. So those will go back into the gift cupboard :)

    Miss Hoodies Corner

Fridge and freezer are both relatively sensible at the moment, although we've just come back from a trip and have a vast array of sausages and bacon.

I don't think I can make an odd meal from the freezer, it has insufficient stuff :(

    Winter Weather

We're under a couple of inches of snow and have thermals, shovel, rock salt and such like to keep us going :)

Wishing you lots of luck for exactly the right result at Court, mum2one. Thank you for spending time thinking of the challenges while you have so much going on :T

i stash all my christmas stuff in the same area of the attic so the paper crackers and cards i got in the sales are stashed up with the deccys ready for [STRIKE]next[/STRIKE] this christmas

ive got one of those books with a pocket for each months and lists of dates to put everyones birthday/anni against in their month. ive refilled it and do a list of missing cards and when they are needed for in the front so i can cross out as i get them

got a few bits in the sales for pressies and have listed them down so i dont forget and buy something else

im working on miss hoodies challenge but the freezer is still rammed so im planning meals to run it down so it can be defrosted (probally end of feb)

am knitting myself a new pair of mitts this weekend in readiness for the cold snap next week

    Hello all :j
Thought I'd better say 'hi' in case you thought I''d glued myself to a xmas card or stitched myself to a sampler.............lol
Computer been playing up and I don't understand it at all, nor the instructions. In the end today I just pushed the re-set button on my BT thing and lo and behold I'm connected :T

mum2one - not had chance to read through the challenge properly yet............busy catching up with everything else.
Apart from cards I'm totally disorganised as usual !!
Been stitching like there's no tomorrow and not a clue what I'm going to do with all these bits ! Expect I'll think of something.

Reply from complaint to hospital:T At last !! Apologies galore and admitting failures on several parts. Few bits that I'm going to take up with them again...........one of the consultants seems to be contradicting himself but OH needs to have a good read through as well to see what else needs replying about. But at least I got what I asked for..........apologies from the consultants involved, assurance procedures on wards will improve in future........etc. etc.

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Santas Challenge - January (soz its a bit late!)

I didn't need to buy any wrapping paper - still so much in the loft. I have been through my presents stash - listed everyone and got quite a few gifts sorted.

    Cards

    I don't buy cards - make them.

    Recycle / regift / remake

MR F had socks so they are going in my stash.

    VistaPrint

    Don't know what this is.

    Lists and Budgets

All Christmas/Birthday lists are written plus when cards have to be posted to use second class stamp.
    Miss Hoodies Corner

Both freezers are full! Lots of stuff in there to make into pies/casseroles/stir frys/curries.

    Winter Weather

    Turned cold here today.

Not done this before so hope I did it right.

    Hi Florenceem

Don't feel you hav to do every aspect of the challenge, just treat it as a pick and mix, try to cover a bit of everything, Miss Hoodie my lovely daughter, who loves setting the cleaning challenge, thou when it comes to tidying bedrooms, shes nowhere to be seen!

VistaPrint - its an online printing company, you have seen it on TV, where they advertise the business cards, basically they do everything but the kitchen sink, from business cards, posters, tshirts, note books, you can have them personalised from name through to photo.
Once you've done one order, they send you offers via email, and you can get some bargains, thou its very addictive!!

You've done brilliantly with the challange. xx

ladies - I give up offically! phone call from my solicitor at dinnertime the court case is being postponed, its complicated but he's at fault - and from a very great height - reading between the lines, and it would mean it would be unlikey the court would hear the case on Monday because of his actions, so it looks like at least a postponement of a month!!

he actually doesn't come out of this smelling of roses, (for once) just wish i was a fly on the wall when the magistrates found out why.

Sorry if its a bit cryptic, but not allowed to say exactly why!! xx

First post :D xmas 2011 did dad, sister and friend shoe boxes filled with pressies, each wrapped with first letter of present written on card (cut up cards from last year). Rearranged they spelt out MERRY CHRISTMAS total cost £15 each (thanks Lidl) then for mum's birthday 12days of xmas courtesy of the sales and charity shop (made up own lines, just had to scan with original so eg 5gold coins as in chocolate money). Total cost £13.44 now have anagrams planned for dad and sister written in diary so i keep track of letters done! Already have a couple of bargains. One has 16 letters, the other 17 and challenge to keepunder £20 :D

:grouphug: sorry it is still ongoing but glad you get a bit of a reprieve for another month, if you see what I mean.

I'm collecting my own February challenges as well as the Santa's Challenge if anyone would like to join me?

    Mine:

    Organise two date nights.

Catch up with the household paperwork - a hellish undertaking but it needs to be done.

Figure out how to get a cash and carry card and get one. I should be eligible as a self-employed person but don't know how to go about it.

    Settle Beastling into nursery.

Collect 20 items for an ebay sale.
