    Hello all :j
susan - not sure about the coach trip till OH sees how these pain killers work he's just been given. Takes 6-8 weeks  Madness -and when I read the paper inside the pack they're normally given for epilepsy  Well OH doesn't have that..........I do but on different medication. Then he tells me he could have had injection but said he'd try the tablets  Honest.............men ! OH does tell me stuff in dribs and drabs..........can take a week to get the full story out of him.

Spent the day making some cards..........well halfway towards doing about 8 so I've made a start on the birthday ones anyway.
Least there's no wind today thank goodness.

Hope you're all ok=you're all sounding so busy:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I know what tablets you mean as my GP mentioned something similair about being used for epliepsy, but they have a secondary useage for pain management, but I couldn't have them due to what I'm popping away.

Was the injection they offered him the spinal jab? similar to an epidural.

Thats typical of men, we only get half the story. then rest in bits and dabs.....

Hope the card making went ok. xx

What a surprise the money never arrived from the Halifax, - just waiting till Monday morning, then going to suggest more inconvience!!

No news from anyone else, guess cafcass ring Monday, or try and avoid me.

Not a happy bunny here, the DHSS, they transferred me to ESA, and your suppose to have an assesment within 13weeks, I've submitted a 6 mth sick note, they've now cut my money by £30 pw..... again another call on Monday. Should have guessed something going gd, is too good to be true.

Miss Hoodie came home from school with a certificate for best behaviour in the class..... xx

I had those tablets Mary but unfortunately they didnt work for me, I was having injections too but even they didnt work. They just gave up in the end and said its something I have to live with. I just take the pain killers that they give me and I use my tens machine a lot.

Im with you on that one rufus , i think if you got pain you just have to put up and manage the best you can. I broke my back 20 years ago and they tried all sorts....

After many years last year they talked me into going on a pain management course....hahahahaha, first interview with the head honcho took about an hour , what have you tried, how do you cope etc....then told me how medicine has advanced and they got all sorts of new things to try. There`ll be something for me

Came out of meeting thinking yeah right. OH was impressed, said it will be nice for you to have a bit of pain relief wont it....

Went to chemist collect 1st prescription. Started next day, by teatime was in hospital, severe allergic reaction to what they gave me....I would have gone in sooner, but when I rang them they said persevere. Only took one course thank gosh.

Was then told I was allergic to opium after numerous tests so anything from the opium plant will kill me....and discharged me as there was nothing they could do , so no pain management for me.

Pain management = good days, bad days....do things good days , do nothing bad days...lol, works well and easy managed..

mum2one - halifax living up to its ways then. Took DS 5 visits and numerous phone calls for them to sort out his student account...

moneypeeny - well done on the bargains

aaronsmum, - glad you had some bargains too

    Hello all :j

mum2one - not sure what injection it was - I know now I should have gone with him. I'm the one that asks the questions...........OH just tells them to do what they think fit.

susan - oooer........I shall panic now..............(not really-I know everyones different) I get the feeling in the end he'll have to learn to live with it. He's coped so far even though he's in such discomfort. Still goes for a walk every day and cooks the dinner -in fact, can do a lot more than me ! I'm only allowed paracetamol as pain relief due to the medication I take for my epilepsy................doesn't take the pain away but eases it a little bit. Good days and bad days but I try and do something to take my mind off it..........radio on, do some sewing or card making, something like that and it does help I'm sure. Just wish they'd done something for OH before now. When I think the first time he went into hospital was March 24th (his birthday) and he's been in pain ever since then !

Did a bit of 'primitive'' stitching today..........not cross stitch but more like back stitch...........I'm quite pleased with it so far.............a way to go yet though.

    Hope you're all ok:)

    Hi All

I would like to join in too if thats OK.

My more general new years resolution is to this year be more organised in my home and personal life.

This year I have my brothers 50th, my best friends 40th (she is more like a sister to me) and three other 40th's as well to buy for, my best friend is also due to have a baby in May.

I haven't had the funds this year really hit the sales so I have only bought next years xmas cards, a family xmas cards and my wrapping paper and tags. I also have some vouchers saved up for the Boots 75% off when it finally happens.

I loved reading about all the snowman soups and sock puppys etc made so want to have a go at anything and everything this year.

I have written a list of everyone that we bought gifts for this xmas and will keep it with me. Instead of buying something I see because it's a bargain, and then being stuck with it as I don't know who to give it to, I will only buy with a receipient in mind and can cross them off my list.

My next task I have set myself is a trip to Cardworld to buy all birthday cards for the year.
    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D
