    Hi lovely ladies,

Quick question! Anyone know the best place to get good value single duvet sets? Ideally ones that are child (female) bedroom sets, but plain ones are fine too...... they all just seem so expensive. MIL is buying DD a nice Disney princess one, but would like to pick up ideally two spare. Another princess type one would be fab, but anything girly....

    Any thoughts?

    Clare x

    try halfcost.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Thanks unixgirluk I'll take a look.

Even though I'd already looked on Argos, I was obviously too particular with my search - I've just found that they have a buy 1 get one half price on selected bedding. So I have a trolley full ready to go. Will check halfcost first just in case. Thank you ladies!

Clare what about taking the plain bedding and embroidering the little one's name? That wouldn't cost much. Draw out her name on the duvet cover and then stitch over it in pastel colours or even silver.

Thanks unixgirluk but I'm only looking for spares really as MIL is buying her disney princess set. Good ideas though! halfcost had some good ones but very few single, so I've gone with Argos with their offer. lol

    Thanks

    Hi everyone,

just nipped in to see how everyone is.

Well I finished my xmas shopping. Basically because I decided Im not buying anymore!!! Me and OH are on a budget which has worked out well.

My DD is having hand me downs, I feel really guilty though. We`ve got her a 32" Sony Bravia, OH been tv shopping again, an ipod touch, which DS doesnt want like new. And a netbook 2nd hand but still in box....what do you think. Was going to list them on ebay but they things she`d like.

DS has things as well that I acculmulated over the year.

For my two stepsons and their girlfriends who I go over the top for , I decided not to bother, got them about 10 things each and decided its not worth the effort. The one set buys me purfume (every year OH rells them I`m allergic to it) and the other one buys me a Boots toiletry pack which I can never use as it irritates my skin....

Gosh just reading back over that I sound like an humbug.

Sorry to ramble but really just stressed about DD`s presents...

I think they will be fab presents for your DD Susan. You have already said they are things she would like. We gave YD our old laptop last year as we both had new ones and she loved it xx

    Xmas Saver!
Susan - Those presents sounds fab and as you say there things that she wants and def agree re stepchilds OHs.

We now have batch 2 of xmas cakes made, thou it took dad about an hr to clean up, Miss Hoodie is rather messy in the kitchen, but she makes a brilliant cake.

She went to bonfire/firework display Sat ngt, dad took she loved it, she was tired today bless her.

Just looked at spreadsheet, - just got 2 presents to get (from mum and dad) for my friend and her hubby, - his be beer, hers toilettry set.

Then its mum, dad and Miss Hoodie - get theres in December, shes having a tablet from mum and dad, not the posh ipad, she doesn't know. She was asked if she wanted one and said no, but when we went and had a look it was the best thing since buttered bread, but shes thinks as she said no she can't have one!!

Start wrapping next week, got Ou assisgnment to do by Friday, allow day for that, and then school Halloween disco, - in charge of buying food, the night of disco - be sat there on toilet duty - otherwise the older girls spend the time in the loo!!

Off to bed, just been good and organised all notes for PTA meeting! (I'd be rich if I got paid for the hours spent sorting it all out!) xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
