I think I'm going to have to remake the marmalade today too - I put treacle and whiskey in for posh marmalade... I think I put too much treacle in it looks like pickle!!!! I can't taste test it as cant stand marmalade!!!!!

    Hello all :j

mum2one - thanks for the challenge. Thankfully a lot won't apply as I've either done it/no little kids at home etc. Forgive me if I don't plough into the rest but wrectched ear won't let me do a lot. Nurse has now taken a swab to see what bacteria is causing it and referring me to ENT dept.-sooner the better.
OH had two very early starts to go to hospital this week.........one to be measured up for hernia support following last weeks CT scan and the other to see back specialist. Thankfully his spine has fused together ok so he's been discharged but been told any further problems to contact consultant direct.

Managed to make another set of wrist warmers and actually found a chopping board just right for doing a scrabble letter word search with the old wooden letters. This one is all Beatles stuff as son is a fanatic. Letters all laid out, just need sticking down now. So I'm getting there a bit at a time.
Need about 4 more xmas cards -OH got me the card, the rest is down to me.

You all seem very busy............haven't had that awful virus your on about -relief ! Do take care. Lots of nasties in the air this time of year.

    :)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hoping this is the correct thread to post on.

Anyway, I love doing the whole Christmas bit for my grandchildren in the run up to Christmas. Last week I bought a couple of nice festive hand towels from M&S for £5 each. Quite small. I went into Primark today and found similar (but bigger) for £2.50 each. I bought 3 plus 3 festive flannel face clothes and two Christmas tea towels all for £12.90. Obviously the proof of the pudding (LOL) will be in the washing but I do wish I had gone to Primark first.

No, I couldn't take them back as I had taken the labels off and washed them ready for use later. Oh well! I have now washed the Primark ones too and they are all fine.

    Hi lovely ladies,

Quick question! Anyone know the best place to get good value single duvet sets? Ideally ones that are child (female) bedroom sets, but plain ones are fine too...... they all just seem so expensive. MIL is buying DD a nice Disney princess one, but would like to pick up ideally two spare. Another princess type one would be fab, but anything girly....

    Any thoughts?
