Two days Clare. I had an apron already that I used for the pattern, made strips up that covered the apron and sewed them together until it was big enough then cut it out. Did the same for the other bits but they were quicker as smaller.

    Hello all :j

Not much done due to wretched ear infection that seems to not want to go away. 2nd lot of antibiotics and they've made no difference so back to gp tomorrow.
OH is having his ct scan tomorrow to see if his stomach lining is thick enough to have a hernia support inserted........if not he's being measured for a support belt on Monday -brought forward from Nov 5th so relieved about that.
Despite the ear have managed to get two pairs of wrist warmers done and concocted a sort of word search on a board with some old wooden scrabble letters. Its for my son who lives on the south coast so its all coastal words along with his name, his girlfriends and things they do.
    So time not totally wasted.

rufus -love the apron set :T

    Hope you're all ok:)

No news here very quiet, got my 1st tutorial for OU on Sat, then write an assisgnment next week, 1st of the course so they let you go in gently, feels weird thinking I only have to write 750 words, use to 2500 words!

i was organised and chopped 12 red onions got them at weekend from Aldi, = ready for batch cooking, now in icecream containers, so mum could get a surprise if she goes hunting for icecream! xx

    Lol I'm here!!

Had a busy weekend! Ended up going to 3 different car boot sales (selling!) - not that we were desperate to get rid of stuff or anything...... lol Made over £160 in total, so well pleased. We're going to use it to go towards DD's big girl bed for her birthday. DH's mum is paying for the main bit of the bed (Ikea, Kura, £120 - it's a low cabin bed) but this will cover the cost of the mattress (£60 as it needs to be the right depth for the bed - trust me I've tried to find cheaper. lol) and the rest will go on material's to 'hack' the bed and add a set of 'stairs' and decorate it! Will post a picture once we've done!

So with that, building some bookshelves, and making a ginger lemon cake, I didn't really get online!! lol

    Hope you're all well!

I've just done batch of sausage and tomato casserole, got 3 icecream containers with 2 portions sizes and then done 14 single portions, so that should keep dad and Miss hoodie going for a while.

Up bright and early, - the delights of 12 hr fasting, - but soon broke it with Mcdonalds breakfast - never ever tasted so good!

Next plan is beef and red wine casserole then thats batch cooking done.

Yeah, well done Claire with the boot fairs xx

Well done Mum2one on the batch cooking xx

I have been doing some hand sewing, not for gifts, just little bits for the stalls. My sewing machine packed up at the weekend and cant afford to get it fixed (thinking it will be a big job anyway as heard something break underneath) so OH has ordered me a new one.

Got physio today on my arms, not that keen on going as expecting some parcels but will have to pick them up tomorrow if they come today. Also had my flu jab yesterday so one arm is a bit achy.

I finished making the bags for my sister and niece Saturday before the machine packed up so thats that lot finished. Granddaugther wants one now so will be having a go at that once my new machine comes.

    Thanks both,

mum2one - well done on the batch cooking! That's PROPER batch cooking doing that much!

rufus - bad timing with the sewing machine!

After work today we're off to ikea to buy the bed, mattress and a few other bits (using MSE vouchers for money off to!), then to the cinema with free (well, offer on Groupon, but had a money off voucher too, so practically free) tickets. DD at her grandparents overnight.

    Hope you're all good.
