Do you think, if we ask her nicely, she'll adopt us? :D

I will happily adopt anyone who doesn't have burping competitions. Do all small/medium sized boys do this?

Over cooked lemon curd mixed with the dregs of the cream makes rather nice lemon toffee sauce

Juliejim, joining you late. Has anyone else not finished for the challenge and needs to get off their bum?

I am very late joining in this week. Happy Christmas to everyone. I didn't get to send me e mail cards as I had planned because we were without electricity and then heating so plans went awry.

hex, your cooking gorgeous. I have just burnt my spicy spelt grains :(

DH and DS2 are busy putting up my new living room door so we can keep out the draughts from the hall.

I am planning a HHC at 4.20. Anyone else want to join me?

Its DDs birthday so we have had a nice time together and scoffed birthday cake.

Not doing anything tonight except chilling and watching tv.

    decogecko Hugs.

Jojo I nearly spluttered my cuppa over the computer. That really made me laugh.

Heres wishing you all a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2012.

so you weren't aiming for lemon toffee then :p

New curtains are up. They are fabulously cosy. Maybe I'll ignore the rest of the house and move into my study... Fire is lit and nice and cosy, and two thank you letters are written. I only have 6 to write anyway, unlike my SIL who has about a million to write for the children (plus a lot of stuff to find homes for...).

    Hugs to Msgnomey and Decogecko.

I had a really rubbish night last night as I coughed and wheezed and snored and generally kept Mr B awake :embarasse who was less than impressed as he is at work today.

Seems as if I have picked up an end of year cold, which has set my asthma off again. Currently finding that I feel best sat still and quiet - so will have to admit defeat on the ironing challenge now - but will aim to complete it as soon as I feel well again, so I don't feel too guilty.

Off for another hot drink - and to check the dinner which I put on at lunch time - thank goodness it wasn't a complicated meal planned for tonight.

See you later - or in 2012 if not.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
