Well, hi folks. I am back to the forum. I know I dissappeared… but I have been stupid again and stopped money saving. When on earth will I learn?
I feel a bit like I am disgrace to this forum. I started off so well and I am now back in debt again.
So where am I right now? Got £2250 debt on the horrid HSBC card.
£1245 on my marks and spencer card.
£600 on my amex.
£320 on a capital one card.
And £280 saved in my savings account. Not that it matters or anything.
What did I do to mess it up? I bought a laptop in may , that’s hwen I started writing to the forum, I felt ashamed.
Went to a holiday in israel, spent £2000. was wonderful, but here I am in debt.
Did stupid things such as horse riding for £55 an hour. How ridiculous am I.
I should have bee debt free by november. I had £2000 left when I left the forum!! And here I am with a massive £4200 again.
So there. I am crawling back for a second chance, really. I want to make this right. Sorry I have dissappointed so many people who thought I will be debt free by the end of last year. I messed it up.
Total debt £3625.07.
Goals: 1.) DFD December 2008 (snowball) / October 2008 (me:o ) 2.) Salary £30kpa (currently £26450pa) 3.) Slim down to 55kg (currently 68kg) 4.) Start stoozing :j

Hi Snaggles
Gosh it's good to see you guys are still here. Am addicted to diet coke instead. Just reading my diary and am getting more and more desperate, I was doing so well, why did I have to mess it up. Man it took two weeks to convince me to come back to this forum and now I know why... feeling like a failure.
should i do a new SOA?

I remember before that you always felt a lot of guilt and shame with regard to your debt. I can understand that, but in order to move on I think you have to let go of the guilt, and be proud that you are tackling it.
It IS something to be proud of you know, no matter how many times you slip backwards and have to try again.
Yes, do a new SOA, and let's see if we can help get you back on track."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Anyway, I'm fine thanks, just got a few more weeks of maternity leave left and then back to work....boooo!
Just had a quick look through your SOA, and firstly I would use the savings to pay off most of the Capital One card. I know it will leave you with no emergency savings BUT if there is a real emergency, you still have the option of using the card again (better to do it that way rather than keep on paying 39.9%).
What is the limit on your M&S card? Are you able to move any of the other debts onto it to reduce the amount of interest you are paying?
The other areas where you could probably make immediate savings are the mobile bill, which is quite high, and the 'food at work' (could you take your own food?).
What about food shopping? How much do you spend on that per month?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
