yes! how about your things - are you selling anything at the moment?

It is now confirmed that today willbe a NSD for me - about the first such day since I dont even know, probably since I was 16 and went on a holiday with my parents who paid for everything!!!! I dont think people realise how much they spend every day...

I contacted Halifax just because I had a free hour at work and applied for an agreement in principle. They offered me £95k mortgage. This is not a lot, but provided that I pay back my debt my June which I absolutely intend to do will mean I can save about 5000 in 6 months, thats 10000 a year, so after like 3 years saving, especially if I get my £12000 life insurance payout in two years' time, i will be able to buy a flat!!! especially that since they are now offering £95k, probably my salary will increase too etc so they might give about £110l - would be fab!! so thats my new goal, but I also want to go on holidays and enjoy life and stuff too, so we will see... but its a nice thought isnt it... and I see that Nic you are saving for a deposit too!!!!!

everything around me seems to suggest that this is what I need to do, its so exciting. Just watch me, in November I was £5k in debt, by this coming november I will have savings, by NEXT november I will have at least £10k saving! woo hoooo!!!!!

Gotta grab some dinner. What did you mean about my having strange eating habits? I really have no eating disporders, I am eating properly and I think Im pretty, I could never starve myself for the sake of getting skinnier, only was starving myself when I panicked about my debt and didnt want to spend money on food but then I was hungry all the time and wished I was eating... :)
    Total debt £3625.07. :o
    Goals: 1.) DFD December 2008 (snowball) / October 2008 (me:o ) 2.) Salary £30kpa (currently £26450pa) 3.) Slim down to 55kg (currently 68kg :( ) 4.) Start stoozing :j

Today's a no spend day for me as well :) its amazing how quickly money seems to vanish on nothing!

I am saving for a deposit! After looking online at houses, although I am only in my second year at university and wont need a flat/house any time soon, the prices scare me soooo much. So by having an aim, and a bit of time to do it, hopefully I'll have quite a bit stashed away for when I actually need it :) sounds like you've got it all planned out as well!

Sorry if it came across as if I was suggesting you had an eating disorder - I didn't mean it to sound like that at all. I'm sure you're very pretty :)

Oh no please dont worry about it, it didnt come out like that I just did not know what you meant... and people thinking I have an eating disorder scares me because thats what people at the hospital thought and they actually said they might havce to keep me there if I am anorexic... in the end i kind of shouted at the doctor saying "i am not anorexic, I WANT TO EAT i just did not want to spend money on food!!!" and he clearly didnt believe me so he mockinkly said that "oh lucky you then because food here is free so lets see how much you eat" and I actually always asked for extra for like two days and in the end he admitted that he was wrong... haha. its really scary though because one of my cousins had an eating disorder and when her parents found out they checked her in to the priory... horrid and it didnt even help because all her roommates had eating disorders so they helped eachother hiding the food...

sorry for the long non-money related rambling....

What do you eat on a no spend day?? I had potato croquettes, I bought them two days ago, and 2 toasted crumpets (from my friend) and lots of apple juice and an apple, all free. yesterday I had so much unhealthy snacks, crisps etc at the party that today Im just full.

Something wuite worrying: I still have not received the ggreenmetropolis payment, even though its been more than a week that I transferred it to my Natwest account. Do they usually pay you all right??? I am worried.

Ebay figures have not changed since have reorted last time. But an hour ago 14 people were watching one item and now its down to 12 again, can you "unwatch" an item?????

HSBC update: turns out that - gosh how hard it is to admit!! - I made a mistake not them. My totals did not add up to £395. Hopw embarrassing! I mistakenly added interest too which they are, of course, charging legitimly. (is there sucha word? legitimately? ???) the charges only added up to £24!!! I thought they werre more but no. So I got £20 of this back, and then another £4 has been credited to my account. Very good. Even though I got less than I anticipated because of my miscalculations, I got 100% back which is good. So next targets: M&S card £30. Amex card £142 (ish?)

Just to say yes you can "unwatch" items on EBAY.

Some of those people who "unwatched" may be people who have bidded so there is no need for them to watch now as the item will automatically on their EBAY account/web page.

    New SOA

I decided to entertain myself (and hopefully you too!!) with my new SOA. It has been ages since I had a proper SOA done.

    Income:

1.) £1402 Salary (£92 has been deducted from £1494 as repayment of the interest free season ticket loan – I am paying for ten months then I have two month’s full pay)

    Regular/essential outgoings:

    1.) Rent £400
    2.) Food £200 minimum :(
    3.) To savings account £45
4.) Religious activities: varies between £40 and £100, so calculate with an average £70
    5.) Bills £75
5.) average monthly interest on all credit cards totalling to: £30

    Debt:

    1.) HSBC CC £1020
    2.) M&S CC £1150
3.) Amex CC varies but lets say £350 which is about average

    Money left to spend:

£575 less the following minimum payments on cards:

    HSBC £45
    M&S £25
    Amex: £13
    Total: £83

    Total disposable: £492.

Of which I intend to pay at least £300 towards my debt (which, together with the minimum payment of £85 totals to £385 less the interest of £30, this gives me a minimum figure of £355 by which my debt reduces every month) and the rest should be for travel, socialising, dvds, books and clothes.
    Total debt £3625.07. :o
    Goals: 1.) DFD December 2008 (snowball) / October 2008 (me:o ) 2.) Salary £30kpa (currently £26450pa) 3.) Slim down to 55kg (currently 68kg :( ) 4.) Start stoozing :j

Ohh nooo. horrible feeling (((((big hug))))) I am sure you see yourself fatter than you actually are, it is always the case! Did you know that blueberries burn fat like crazy, you dont even have to excercise? I know they are expensive but not so on the market and they are actually really really healthy too!!!!

    (and yummy.)

I kind of crave a pizza and a chocolate mousse. Whats all this about...??? why do girls always crave chocolate and pizza?? Is it just me??

2.) Food £200 minimum :(probably cut this down a bit, by making bulk and freezing etc :)
3.) To savings account £45 How about not putting anything into a savings account just yet, and throwing it at a debt instead? Then, when you are Debt Free, you can save again :) there's no point in saving when you're getting £30 in interest on your debts every month.
4.) Religious activities: varies between £40 and £100, so calculate with an average £70
