How are you this morning?
Hope you have a good day
I'm off on my teaching placement today, so am preparing myself for excited, hyper children. How anyone can be that energetic at that early in the morning, I have no idea

ohh gosh, it is!!!! i cant believe someone actually wants my things, and to see the little green numbers grow is just amazing...
what sort of things are you selling? how big is that overdraft?
(you need a signature!!!!!)
My overdraft is from when I was at uni - stands at £1700 - have an aim to get it below £1100 by the end of April through everyday savings, ebaying etc. I went through a phase of buying loads of designer stuff because I thought, oh its in fashion it must suit me... and it doesnt so someone else may as well get a bargain and I can have the cash... signature is on my list of things to do!!
When do your ebay items end? xxMFW

PD update, meaning this is going to be long (and hopefully very entertaining).
First of all, ebay. I have sold the dior cream for £45, this is about 6 pounds more than the retail price, plus postage – well, do you think it would be the ethical thing to do to tell the buyer? Or is it not the best practice on ebay? I might be wrong about the retail price but hydraction is about £35 per 50 mil and this ones just a tiny bit more expensive. At the same time the 15mil lancome must-have mopisturiser only scored £4 incl postage. Even the boots foundation sample sold for more than that!!! But Im happy because I had been corresponding with the lancome-girl and she seems really really nice so she realy deserves it and in any case, its net profit anyhow.
Paypal: I have received the £110 and withdrawn it straight away – I will throw it towards the rent /household payment because that’s cash so this meant I only had to allocate £250 towards this from my income. (yes, I know im repeating myself but its payday today, its payday today, its payday today!!!). I have another £20 on my account but theres a slight problem: I cant find one of my dvds that I have sold! Its really not on the shelf even though I was convinced it was. So I emailed the buyer and offered her an alternative dvd or a full refund, she hasn’t replied yet. Horrible, Im so embarrassed, hopefully, the person wont leave negative feedback.
Food: I will have to go out today because its an office party for lunch – at least a tenner I’m afraid, more likely a £16 because we split the bill. But I wont have anything for dinner. And it’s a one-off, and its payday. (gosh can you see how Im trying to find excused?) the bottom line is, I have to go, end of story. For dinner I’ll have chicken nuggets but that will be free food. And I am also saving on fruits and coffee today because I ahd free coffee at work and free fruits as well. Very nice sunny day. I think Im doing quite well.
HSBC update on charges: I have not heard from them yet and my deadline for starting court action will be on Monday. I am not quite sure what to do but Maybe I ehard from them till then and if I don’t get the money back I file a claim online. The so called goodwill adjustment is still on my account, they did not remove it.
Money updates – well I have been waiting for this for a month, of course. Its amazing to have been paid again. I paid £85 to the M&S card, new balance being £1159 now. I made this decision ebcause this is the lowest APR card, I wanted to pay minium payment but I ended up paying more, its just so nice to see the balance shrinking… Next one, I paid a massive £270 to HSBC credit card. This is the one I want to pay off first and get rid of. Now balance is at 1134D. This is incredible, two months ago my balance was 2000. It makes me so happy. I try to think about the things I spent this money on two years ago… food, travel, clothes, I cant believe how long the debt lasts, I already have forgotten about the things I got for this money. And the horrible debt is still sitting there and haunting me. It definitely was not worth it. Also I have put £50 on my savings account to boost up my emergency money, now £250. The rest went to rent and to amex. Amex balance will be £120 once my payment clears (!!! Yay) but bear in mind that this is what I use for monthly expenses, food, clothes,. this and that… so this one will go up and up until next payday. I anticipate that I wont spend more than £500 (this includes travelling to stockholm) so I think of the balance as £600. According to this, my debt balance is – £2600 ish! In November 2006 I had twice this debt. Amazing. I am so happy about it, I will be debt free in no time. And how nice that I don’t have to worry about capital one anymore.
And now, I promised to be really open about what I spent, so heres what I spent from 9th February to 9th March. (Please don’t judge, I know I could have spent less…)
Starbucks: £46 (target was to keep it below £50) – Achieved
Work food: £19.58 (target was to keep it below 20) – Achieved
Food out: £62.18 (target was to keep it below £50) – Failed
Groceries: £31.09 (I had no target but it def. should have been less)
Clothes: £72.98 (I had a target of £40) – Failed (but I wont have to buy anything in march)
Other stuff (beauty, eyebrows, haircut, presents for family) : £166.10 (target was £100, failed)
Extra Income: (not including ebay) : £50 (teaching and owed money etc)
Costs relating to my religion: £42 (target was £100 but I missed the purim party) Achieved
So, that’s it. I will set my targets for next month soon but now I have to work.
And finally let me just answer to what you guys said here:
Lynz: thanks that explains everything! I sold 4 items on the frst week and then nothing since! But I guess the rest of my items are quite in-demand books so I imagine lots of people have them and want to sell them anyway. So, I will just keep them on there, and lets see what happens – they are on it anyway, im not wasting any money or time just by having them there… so yay! Thanks for your encouraging words too!!!
Nic: Im fine thank you, better and better, ho are you? How was the teaching? Its true they are really hyper but then again, they probably go to bed at 9 ish, not at 1am like the rest of us……. !!!! hows ebaying? Are you feeling better than yesterday? If not, I have some yummy freebelgian choclate here… just give me your student address (I know your mum’s!!)
Atypicalblonde: well this is not a horrible amoutn of debt (compared to mine, just check it out) or compared to other people here, and I think you are amazing that you recognised it so soon and don’t let it build up to a scary amount of £5000, £10000 etc…. let me know how you doing with budgeting!! And all the things you said about fashion/designer stuff – well, I so know what you mean. My most shameful moment (now I can tell) was when being on a pathetic £180 a week salary (having to pay rent etc) I got a credit card with a limit of £1500 and bought a dior bag and dior shoes totalling to £780… can you believe someone can be this extremely stupid?? It was the floral pattern which, of course, nobody wear anymore and looks pathetic on you, it kind of shouts that this is your one-off designer pruchase.. so I cant even enjoy it, and the shoes arent that comfy either…. And still, I am STILL paying it back…. So you are being smart trying to get rid of your stuff and to get them at least to give you back some money….
Thanks to all of you for popping in!!!
ohh ps, to atypicalblonde: they all ended today! only two people have not paid, one the girl who bought my dior cream.Total debt £3625.07.

Ohh that sounds absolutely lovely! will you have more sessions like this?
I'm glad you are feeling better, enjoy the sunshine today! I will go to the park and will try not to spend today... (doubt I'll succeed but oh well).
Money saving news: I collected all the coins I found in my room, old bags, old coat pockets, drawers, here and there - and it totalled to an amazing £23.35! I took it to the bank yesterday and transferred it to the HSBC credit card straight away. I have also received interest of £20.5but this cancelled it out!!
Ohh you mentioned youre on a diet, can you recommend me one thats working, and at the same time not "dont eat"??? :jTotal debt £3625.07.

Most of the time the teaching sessions are just whatever we decide to teach them, with regards to musicCongrats on finding all those coins! Just think, if you hadn't have found them, then you would have had to pay the interest, but that's gone now! Yay
I really dont know what to say on the diet, I'm just trying to eat healthily, but its not going well
I'm a comfort eater, so when I'm having a bad day, I just head straight for the biscuits and things!
Hope you've having a good day
