LookingAhead wrote:"Yeah I see what you mean about the overdraft - cant you open a new account and have your slaary paid into that and just pay off the overdraft by bank transfer step by step? or is that a bad idea?"
NOOOO it's a good idea (and one Moozie suggested too a while back) but my overdraft is so big that I don't think anyone will have me!
Plus First Direct might demand all the money back at once if I move my salary payment elsewhere (I think they can choose to do that if they want to) and that would leave me well & truly stuffed, I'd have no chance to clear it in a hurry.
But in principle I think it is a great idea
To be honest I dont think they can demand the money back - on what bass? that you do not use the account? that couldn't have been a condition of the contract between you and them.. they gave you overdraft all right but i doubt there was a minimum pay-n condition - i very much doubt it. That would be unfair terms anyhow. (can you see the contracts lawyer in the making???i have such a good mentor....
)) i hope i be a contracts lawyer one day) a debt-fee contracts lawyer, that is...

I cant believe that ebaying is going so well. Thank you for suggesting it. I already gained about £200 just by selling my unwanted stuff, this is incredible! (I just think the fees are too high, oh well...)
Right today I went shopping again - I really had to I only bought absolute essentials: two pairs of shoes (needed!! this is not an excuse I swear.) and - only £10 each pair!!!! also one cardigan (absolute necessity, only have one apart from it), for only £5. Skirt: needed, only £5 and looks absolutely amazing. So basically for £30 I got a top, a skirt, and two pairs of really fab and comfy shoes (need for work actually) - well i think this is pretty amazing.
And I did not go out with my friends so I threw the fiver at the skirt, so I actually only spent £25. Instead i bought potato croquettes for only £80. theres 12 in it so i eat 6 now and 6 next time, i know you might think im crazy but i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE them, just as they are, with lemon!
ohh the oven is beeping, gotta go get themTotal debt £3625.07.

hi hun!
Just checked in on this and I just wanted to let you know something about Green metroplis.
Basically theres a queuing system. So if you are selling a copy of say the da vinci code, you are going to be waiting a long time as you were last in, so they have to sell a LOT of copies before yours gets sold.
The quick ones to sell are always those that no one else has got for sale.
Its a slow burner GM, Ive been selling there for about a year. Sometimes I get nothing for ages, and then randomly 4 in a week! But then its really zero effort to do with the put them on there, takes seconds.
Keep going chicken, youll get into the swing of things, you are doing really well.
The important thing is dont beat yourself up about it. Enjoy your progress!!!! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
