My darling boyf will be spending lots of money this weekend I know he's bought me a terrimundi and is taking me to dinner on Sat night. Other than that I'm looking just to get away for a change of scenery! :T

I just heardsomething interesting yesterday at work. Apparently one of my company's stores have been harrassed by a debt collector about a debt of a few thousand pounds taht they never had. Turns out that it was a scam, but what a clever one:

The scam company made up a contract and fake invoices just out of nowhere and did not contact the "debtor" at all. then they sold the debt to a debt collection agency who paid about 40% to them and then started to go after the debt right away. Now chasing a debt, especially if its a huge company and a (relatively) small amount can take up to 5 years actually. By this time the oriignal (scam) company have dissappeared and the people behind it are somewhere on the bahamas, because they did this thing with loads of firms... so the debt collection agency is the genuine one here, trying to colect a debt that never existed because they already paid to the oriiginal company...

couldn't help having a little joy at the thought that if that criminal who set up those scam companies and got rich by cheating, at least did so at the expense of various debt collection agencies...

I'm afraid starbucks don't have a loyalty programme - shame but trying to cut back on the lattes.....

Yesterday was a bit bad, actually, the worst DFW day because I spent some £16 on presents (yeah, I have given up, and still need some whisky for mydad to, ohhwhatever...) and also I bought pret dinner for £5.80 AND also a latte from starbucks because I was stupid and did not resist, so thats another £3.14 - I think I completely messed up yesterday. But oh well this is a new day today.

And I have transferred £62.26 paypal money now to my amex!!!!!!!

wish me luck that I dont spend money at the airport....
