She'll deny she crossed the line of course. Her word against OP's so 50/50.Alias_Omega wrote: »If she cleared the centre white line, i think you will be ok.
"Yes guv, she crossed the centre line. I assumed she was parking up on the RHS".:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me several years ago, but what hit me was a 38t tipper truck. I got paid out on that one if that's any consolation.
That surprises me as it even states in the Highway Code to watch out for artics moving to the right to make a left turn complete with pictures.0 -
Definitely 100% YOUR fault.
You were driving behind a WOMAN who suddenly veers across to the other side of the road without any indication.
YOU should then have been ready for ANYTHING to happen.
YOU should have immediately stopped YOUR car and switched on the hazard lights.
YOU should have then WAITED until the WOMAN either completed her manoeuvre, or got out of her car.
After waiting at least TEN minutes for all danger to have passed, YOU could then have proceeded with caution.

I think that swerving right before turning left is not a valid manouevure, especially if the swerve is wide enough for a car to drive through.
Hope it works out OK!
Problem is idiots see an artic taking a wide turn forgetting they have a massive trailer behind them and think that they should take a wide turn as well.
Non signaling is the biggest problem i see on the road now, it should be made a £60 fine.0 -

By making it compulsory, presumably. Though I think that would be a terrible idea and I'd be against it.scheming_gypsy wrote: »How can they fine something that isn't compulsory?0 -

Why would you be against something that would make the road safer?
Nothing worse than driving down the motorway and someone pulls out without indicating, has to possibility to cause a crash.0 -
When I go up my drive in my car I always have to watch if there's a car behind me - same scenario as the OP but i'm the driver in front. I live on the left and have to take a swing to get in the drive as it's narrow. I always put on my left indicator but still get some drivers zooming right up, braking and tooting their horn. If they see me putting on my left indicator and i'm turning a bit to the right surely they should slow down anyway. I sometimes wonder how they expect me to get into my drive.
I think it's her own fault though if she didn't indicate.0 -

You sure?
I would like to see somone go on a driving test not signal and get passed.0 -
Yep.. Just because you have to do it in your test doesn't mean it's compulsory; just like ten-to-two and push pulling, mirrors signal manouver etc. They're there to advise other people of what you intend to do but you don't have to use them. The Highway Code just says you 'should' use them for x, y and z rather than telling you that you 'must' use them.0
