Which tyre - Kenda or Rapid. URGENT!!

Hi
Have just been to local tyre trader and need to replace both front tyres on my Honda Civic Sport 04 plate.

I have been offered the two at 55 pounds each. But which is best please - RAPID or KENDA. And is this a reasonable price??? Many Thanks as I am a tyre novice!

    Kenda review on here

    http://www.tyretest.com/summercar_tyres/kenda/index.html

    I've never heard of Rapid

As to the price, what size are the tyres?
  • Further to that - phones KWIK FIT and they can do a pair for 120 pounds but these are ARROWSPEED tyres. Not sure what these are like???? ANy ideas which is best deal?!

Uniroyal Rain Experts worked out about that price on a 2 litre typeS, proper tyres with oodles of wet grip, rubbish an a Civic will lead to annoying wheelspin.

EDIT...Arrowspeeds were fitted to the 2 of the wheels on said Civic, thrown away at 5mm because the wet grip was a poor joke.

Have a look on Tyretest.com for user reviews, this site could be used by people to make something appear better or worse than it is so read between the lines too
EDIT, alreday linked for you by another poster..

Try small independent tyre places, and ask for proper tyres not ditchfinders.

I wouldnt rely too much on tyre reviews , each one is different! Kenda and Rapid are both budget brands so should be the same price as they are same quality. What size are they?

Kenda (China plant) are part of a joint set up with Cooper tyres, who also own and produce Avon tyres, so there is a good chance whether you buy Cooper, Avon, or Kenda, you're getting the same product.
  • Tyre size shows.... 205/55R16 then 91V.

Rapids a new one on me. Who makes them?
  • So budget tyres - are they still ojkay to get. I drive quite smoothly and don't do any harsh braking so they should last a good while still I am assuming???

    Thanks
