Still 50% in Dundee but MAN there is tons of sale stock. I've never seen so much. BUCKET loads of Sanctuary, FCUK and House of D (or whatever it's called). Hopefully there will be plenty left next week and it'll be 75%. Didn't buy a thing but did have a nice scout for what I'd be willing to buy at 75%, some of it is hideously over priced.

thanks for your response, i should have said i meant for when the 75% off does start, never in a million years am i buying anything at boots at 50% off, not when i know they do 75% off normally near end of jan

Well it really depends on what the item is worth to you though, what your financial situation is, and whether it will still be left in the 75% off sale, and then of course whether you can get to the 75% sale - or deal with the agro of not knowing even when it starts and trying to get there at zero notice around a full time job and very long commute (or as others have said, tantrumy toddlers, prams etc).

I've got some really lovely stuff in the 50% off (Champneys), of which there is none now left at the stores near me. They are going to be nice gifts to my friends who are Santuary-ied out. The boxes are lovely, I'm going to add in some jewellry to the smellies.

Incidentally does anyone know whether there is any Champneys stock left in Lakeside or Westfield Stratford? :)
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Anyone know if Boots are still giving out the £5 No7 vouchers with £5 spend? I got one last Thursday but have not been in store since.

I'm not sure that I'd take a TWO-hour bus journey with a toddler  to get there, even for the 75% sale! Boots is only around the corner from my office so it's easy peasy to go and check it out. And I work flexi hours so can start anytime up to 10am. :D I realise that this is not the case for everyone though.

does anyone know how much sale stock the trafford centre has left? would i be worth a 2 hour bus journey with a toddler going through a tantrum stage (terrible twos and all)? i love the 75% off sale at boots and don't want to miss a bargain!!!

I know it hasn't started today, its just nice to know if they still have a variety left to make the journey when they do :o

Hi just been into the Trafford Centre thinking the sale was starting today. There was about 5 or 6 double sided shelf units with 50% off stuff on but there wasn't alot of each individual product. Whether they have more in the back I don't know. Not sure I'd travel 2 hours to get there though. Do you not have a smaller local Boots you could go to?
  • i actually like them! and theyre definitely a bargain, ive bought a couple to put away for birthdays!

I like the bag too! It was my work's Alternative New Year party on the weekend just gone and I used it as we stayed in a hotel overnight and I managed to fit quite a few things into it, the receptionist at the hotel even commented on the bag, I told her where to get it and how much it was with the contents included and she told the other girl working with her and she said she was going to pop down to Boots during her break and pick them both up one.

I may even use it for work when I go back, each to their own, thankfully we all have different likes and dislikes, I bought the bag @ 50% off but may get another 1 to put away for my Mum.

So how do you explain all the other staffers who said there would be a 75% off sale? Either they were lying (which I doubt) or someone was lying to them (more likely), or the sale date changed. There is always a haze of misinformation at Boots, and not just to do with this sale. The inefficiency of the store is what gives us so many nice glitches. How many times has a Boots SA told me a coupon wouldn't work with something and then it did? So many times I can't count. So you weren't really right all along, you just weren't wrong this time, lol.

believe me i am always right , it is obviously the inefficiency of the store u shop in ,as one of the top flagship stores in the company non of our staff were under the illusion the sale would be today

There is no way i'd take my two year i'd pay the extra day at nursery if i had to.. she is a proper tantrum thrower, it's such a shame we can't take her shopping, even to the supermarket without plying her with food & a ride in the kids train afterwards.
    Received £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j
    Received £1400 charges - 2006:j
  • I was at my store for 8am :(, SA came out and told us it wasnt on, but we were welcome to have something scanned to confirm. Spoke to the duty manager with a few other ladies and told her that 4 different stores had confirmed yesterday, she was shocked and rang head office and area manager. Obviously said it was wrong to be told that, but then spoke to an SA who said it had been planned for today but hadn't been given go ahead.

There were quite a few people waiting outside and we all left without buying anything, do Boots really think we'll buy now at 50% ???
