morning all
does anyone know how much sale stock the trafford centre has left? would i be worth a 2 hour bus journey with a toddler going through a tantrum stage (terrible twos and all)? i love the 75% off sale at boots and don't want to miss a bargain!!!

I know it hasn't started today, its just nice to know if they still have a variety left to make the journey when they do

I went to Boots at 8am. No 75% sale. Humph.

The SA said 'Why are you asking if it's 75% off yet, there might not even *be* a 75% sale', which convinced me that they are all being TOLD to say that!!! :cool:

The FCUK bags which *are* 75% off are hideous. Not even worth £11 imho.

as a boots member of staff we r not told porkies so do not tell porkies as in previous post i did say no 75% sale today(as did other boots staff) which has be the case all along so no boots havent changed there minds at the last minute to get more people to buy at 50%

It's not on today so not worth the 2 hour bus journey with a toddler going through the tantrum stage, I guess it depends what you call a bargain. I think 75% makes items an ok price but not a bargain unless you use these products during the year anyway. The 90% off sale makes them a bargain though, if your not too fussy what you pick up. I bought quite a few bits of No 7 in the 90% off last year as token gifts for people.

i actually like them! and theyre definitely a bargain, ive bought a couple to put away for birthdays!

thanks for your response, i should have said i meant for when the 75% off does start, never in a million years am i buying anything at boots at 50% off, not when i know they do 75% off normally near end of jan

Still loads left in my local stores ...Each to their own taste but I agree with the above the bags are hideous, they look like very cheap plastic I might have bought at 90% more for the contents. I can honestly say i can't see any of my friends or family walking around with that on their shoulders :eek: ... soz

So how do you explain all the other staffers who said there would be a 75% off sale? Either they were lying (which I doubt) or someone was lying to them (more likely), or the sale date changed. There is always a haze of misinformation at Boots, and not just to do with this sale. The inefficiency of the store is what gives us so many nice glitches. How many times has a Boots SA told me a coupon wouldn't work with something and then it did? So many times I can't count. So you weren't really right all along, you just weren't wrong this time, lol.
