Do you think this is unreasonable P&P?

I'm not overly bothered about £1.30 on top of the postage paid nor am i bothered that it was sent in a bin liner, I've done that myself for larger items however my questions really is, where is the justification of adding £1.30 on? And in this case is it fair?
If that's justifiable then I might as well start doing it myself instead of the 20 or so pence that I add onto the price of the stamp unless additional packing is necessary and pass on the cost.
aye, add on a taxi fare to the post office, and the price of a pie & pint at the local pub as well.
i never add on much other than the price of the stamp, perhaps im daft0 -
I should, it takes up most of my dinner hour to walk to the PO, stand in the queue and walk back to work. I should stop off for refreshments too.:beer:0

Oh, but you did. Ever popular these posts. £1.30. Let's have a heated debate.0 -
How much did the actual postage cost? Forget the bag and the tape, what was paid to send the item?We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

Nobody forces you to sell on Ebay.:grinheart “Truly Great Madness Cannot Be Achieved Without Significant Intelligence.”:grinheart0 -

Irrelevant argument..no-one forced the OP to bid on the item either, but they did and were obviously happy with the item and it's charges. As long as the op wasn't massively overcharged for P&P (which considering it was only £1.30 doesn't seem likely) who cares what it was wrapped in as long as it got there in one piece? We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
no real differance when we pay £8.99 with a online shop or tv shopping channel for postage , theyre getting a deal for a fraction of the price we paid
as said if the total price was a good deal and it arrived in good condition then its all fine imo0 -
Ebay doesn't work like other online shops though. If sellers postage is not reasonable their dsrs lower which eventually means they lose sales and possible selling restrictions. Comparing ebay to other selling platforms is like comparing john lewis to a local market. Two totally different forms of retailsteveo3002 wrote: »

At the end of the day, you were happy about paying the postage when you bid on it. I don't even check how much the stuff I've bought is to post when I receive the item, I just know if I'm not happy with the P&P I wouldn't bid on it.
However, if you feel strongly about it. Then perhaps give them them a lower star on DSR, I think I would contact the seller first though, as they have no idea who has marked them down if they are sending a lot of things out at once. So annoying as a seller not to be able to answer back the critics of our P&P, I've been marked down once or twice and I only charge what it costs me, guess some people are never happy.
The only time I sell is stuff I'm clearing out so can't really afford to do the free P&P.

The postage cost was just shy of £5. If it had been a tenner then I wouldn't have bid because that would have been ridiculous but you can't always tell the weight to calculate what you deem to be fair?
I received an item the other day and the seller was charged more for the postage than the they charged me for P&P; so compared to that item the P&P on this isn't as reasonable.
Where do you draw the line between reasonable and unreasonable? The only time I sell is stuff I'm clearing out so can't really afford to do the free P&P.
Surely you'd include the P&P in the starting price?0
