that video has really made me think I let my 3yr old sit in his sisters car seat today because he had a little paddy about it. instead of his 5 point harness seat I shant be doing that again and I feel awful at what i could have caused to happen to him. It really hits it home to you. thanks for posting. Lisa0

Hi Natalie,
Have pm'd you for the Which report, we were looking at the Recaro Young Sport for our 3 yr old daughter who weighs approx 35lbs (16kg) we need to trf her from her Britax Eclipse as her brother is now 9 months and needs to go into that one as he has outgrown his rear facing baby seat.
We ideally wanted to get a seat with 5 point harness, so she can hopefully use that for another year and then will use the adult seat belt.
Its a bit confusing as the seats state that it's not recommended that the 5 point harness is used after the child is 39lbs, but then some reviews state that the booster seats should not be used until a child reaches 4 yrs old.
I await the which report Natalie - thanks0 -

I can highly recommend the Recaro Young Sport. It is a rebadged Storchenmuele Starlight SP, see http://www.storchenmuehle.de/index.php?id=30&L=4 for more details.
They have been on the market for a few years in Germany. This is the only seat I have found that will fit snugly and tightly in any rear seat. It also offer better protection from side impact than most other seats.
The bonus is that the seat is modular and can be used as a booster for children up to 12yrs old.
We have been using 2 of these seats for the last 3 years and have had no problems.0 -
