  • Thanks for adding me to the chart Mr B, I am now officially up and running!

Well, when I say running I mean sitting in the chair... Might get the bike out later though.
I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...

Hello! I've just weighed in at 14 stone 6 and my target is 12 stone 6 by the 27th April.

Now I'm off to the OS board to get advice on what I can freeze-pate and houmous are my big queries, I think the christmas cake and cheese will be fine.
I'm looking forward to eating lots of fruit and veg today after a very poor few weeks.

I feel very answerable now I'm in a chart!
Weight steady this morning, which is odd as I had to help DS2 try out a cookery Christmas present as well as eating chocolate yesterday!
The bank balance is looking black, rather to my surprise, so I think I'm on target for a mortgage overpayment - yay! Will see how things are at the end of this week. It's amazing; never have we had this much at this point in the year - everything's turned round since we started taking control of finances last summer, though admittedly that was on the back of no longer having lots of travel expenses for sick parents (DH's Dad now well again and my Mum moved near to us).

  • Ooo time to bite the bullet. I'm going to join the 2 stone off by April 26th please. I weighed in yesterday and am ashamed to admit to being 15 stone 11.5 .... bring on 13 stone 11.5!! Going to limit the wine to one bottle shared between Friday and Saturday nights and go back to eating as I did at Uni over 10 years ago where I broke the sterotype and was actually very healthy and slim (though still thought I was fat!) I stand no hope of saving 2 grand, my mission is to live within my means each month.

  • Been to sainsburys to spend a £12 off £60 voucher today. Got some trousers for M (age 5) and loads of xmas bargains for next year an managed not to buy any alcohol or cake although was tempted as the Xmas cakes were all half price and we didn't buy one this year before the big day. We still have 3 youle logs to eat though (just started one)! Shouldn't be to much left by the time I start the challenge and my little boy will finish them off!

  • Yep, count me In on both scores.

    The 2K is achievable

The weight is going to be harder.

    Back down the gym, spinning

Im 17st I need to lose a couple of stone

Add me to the list will help motivate me
  • I'm in too. My starting weight is 13st 11lbs and I aim to lose 2 stone by 30 April, which is my birthday.

I need to save up for a new car, so £2k in 4 months is a good challenge for me.

For anyone with a smartphone, the endomondo app is good. it'll track your exercise for your. You can also input your exercise on their website if you prefer. I have a few challenges on there with friends, so I find it handy for motivating me to exercise. I've joined a challenge to walk 1000 miles in 2012, so looking forward to that! Hope the weather stays mild :)

    Can I join too?

I'm starting today 27th December and ending 27th April.

My starting weight is 11st 7, and I'd love to be 9st 7 by April.

Don't know if can make the £2000 as not currently working but will give it my best shot.

    Thanks
  • Happy Christmas from a lurker on this and the 'other' thread. As my, admitedly rubbish, scales say I have put on 4lbs in the past two days I am certainly joining you on half this challenge.12 stone this am. Need to be 10 stone. The money is a bit different as OH is unemployed, I work 4 days a week which three years ago was cut down to 2 days a week for 6 months plus a 10% salary cut...the 10% was reinstated 4 months ago so...income wise, this seems to be as good as it gets. Not entirely sure what else can be cut but a proper budget would be a good idea I suppose. So at least I can see how much I am spending of what I haven't got.
I am not good at keeping up on these blogs but I will certainly be here in spirit if not in practise and, Mr Bloater, as I have a 10k run looming on 8th Jan, I will be running 'with' you too.

Loving the chart MrB :) I will start from January 1st and will weigh in on that date, I am pretty sure it will be more than a stone I need to lose by the way I am currently eating! I have invited family round for a massive scoff fest later this week, and I will be giving them loads to take home, so there is only minimal junk food left in the house as of 1st January.

I want to try and save £200 for an Ipod. I don't have much left to sell on Ebay, so will be mainly relying on surveys, and going without other things to save for it!
