I'm having the same problem, I was going great guns and now I'm flat.
Having said all that, are you sure you're not already within your healthy weight range? You've lost such a lot of weight already you should be really proud of what you've achieved so far. Perhaps we're all suffering from SAD or post Christmas blues. I dunno. Just wish I could stop eating biscuits. I've quit the alcohol but the sugar is still calling me, just in another form.

I get my sugar fix by drinking a mug of chocolate options . it really does make you feel as though youve had something nice and next to nothing in calories

oh no ..................... one step back im afraid . the money bit is on going, and i am doing well with that . the diet , i WAS going great , ive stuck to it all week , , with no problems at all .and expected a good weight loss for my first week then today my daughter invited us for tea to say thanks for a few things wed helped her with .....tea was lovely , but loaded with calories , Tortilla wraps filled with meat & onions and a spicy sauce with god knows what in , (My mouth was on fire !) i ate salad with it , then tonight . my son went to macdonalds and brought me a mc flurry , hes broke , so it was a nice gesture , and hed have felt bad if i hadnt eaten it , but again i know they are loaded in calories , so ill wait till saturday my first weigh day . but isnt it a shame when you are doing great , and others scupper it by being nice , oh well tomorrow is another day,,,,,,and the mc flurry was nice lol x
keep it up everyone , i love reading how everyone is doing x

oh dear oh dear, i knew the over eating and lack of exercise would catch up with me eventually so 2lbs on so im now 12st 1lb. in my defence im coughing my guts up and on antibiotics for a coldsore infected with impegito so im not really feeling great to do any exercise but why i felt the need to eat dominos pizza, scampi and chips, chocolate cake and drink lambrini is beyond me- i think im delusional.

When im on a supposed diet my mind thinks its ok to have chips say as im on a diet(ie im cutting bak everywhere else so its ok to have a treat-however these treats are quite regular iyswim)-does anyone else have this problem? How does one combat it?

Money wise is not great either-our dd for the leccy has gone up to £40 from £19 and my train tickets has gone up to £15.30 from £14.20.I wont be getting any free council tax months as we've just moved to a more expensive area and they're using those months to payback what i owe.ggrrrr

anyway ive skimmed some money off my account and the joint account and my total is now up to £135.04 not very good as with this challenge we should be saving about £500/month.Get paid on mon so might be able to pay more then (although i've had a days pay deducted for striking) and i'll have £9.50 from quidco and £3 from valued opinions.
  • I succumbed to temptation last nigh - needed a chocolate fix so waded through half a pack of chocolate hob-hobs :(

On the brighter side, 2¾ hours OT today so £28.68 extra earned.

  • Well I weighed myself this morning and after a week of being really good, and exercising loads and I have lost... 1lb so am a bit disappointed!

I was wondering if I've actually been eating enough... I know that sounds daft but one of the trainers on Biggest Loser told a contestant off for not eating enough and said if you don't eat enough you have nothing to burn... I have been doing walks/ runs of 7-8 miles some days so I think I will try maybe eating some cereal/ wholemeal toast afterwards and see if that has any effect. Still have loads of choc/ biccies in but have been allowing myself one or two per day!

Frodobaggins- if you are doing lost of exercise you will be building muscle- perhaps that's what's happening to me too!

Crunchynutter- I don't think the odd little splurge is going to do you much harm, personally I need to allow myself a splurgy treat now and again like chocolate or a meal out as it helps keep me motivated.

Hope all is well with Mr B and he is just busy, and any time now he is going to come back with a lovely long post full of tales of cardboard dinosaurs and post man/ neighbour dodging!!

luckystepho not eating enough is probably the reason , Weight Watchers gives the same advice as the biggest loser. you are doing a lot of exersize , so will be burning a lot of calories , youre doing great . the weight loss will catch up . drink plenty of water too , its surprising what a difference that makes.
  • Thanks a lot Moll, I may take a look on the Weight Watchers and Biggest Losers sites, if I can shift 2- 3 lbs this coming week it will give me a huge boost!
  • Well, two weeks later I'm back to my starting weight (Christmas and New Year had a rather unfortunate effect on the scales!), so kind of starting agin there, but I am up to £240.61 on the money front.

    Anyone found Mr B yet?
I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...
  • This week is a LOT better than last. Not only did I have the roofing to be repaired £500....I had an emergency car repair....£276. Not good last week.
This week however seems to be the silver lining on the cloud.....just found out that my full-time position has been approved and I got my CIMA exam results today and passed!!!!:D:D:D:D:D I have had a 9 year (children)/study break so I was very nervous about dipping my toe back into the professional qualification route again especially as the course had been revised twice in that period and I had lost 3 exam passes in the interim. So onwards and upwards as they say....books out and start working towards my next 2 exams in May! All the more money for Disneyland as my son would say:rotfl::rotfl:

Yeay well done tryingtobegood!! I'm going to be (maybe) doing CIMA next year - once I have my AAT exemptions ;)

I do hope Mr and Mrs B ok - got a horrible feeling we won't be seeing him back for whatever reason - hope I am wrong and he is just busy!

Weight wise - hmm I will weigh myself when I am next at the gym (Monday?) and we'll see. Didn't have car yesterday due to thankfully minor repairs, so instead of the gym I walked the 6 miles home - hopefully will see fruits of my labour in weight loss :D

Money wise - I am going to count every day I eat food provided by work or resist fat Friday breakfast, as £3 saved so thats £18 to add since start. Also £3 every day I don't drive to work so thats another £3 for yesterday! Will add these to my total.
