Two Stone / Two Grand / Four Months

Options
OK, let's see how this runs.

The challenge is to lose two stone in weight or get an extra two grand in money or (if you're a bit loopy like Chevalier and myself) try and do both.

No sign up lists, just add to the thread if you want, or just watch.

In order for me to get to 21stone 0 on the 23rd April I am going to:
- Cut down on the bottles of wine in the evening
- Start going for runs again in the morning
- Do some yoga and weights to try and tone things up

In order for me to got an extra £2000 by 23rd April I am going to:
- Relentlessly list my records and then other techie stuff on eBay making sure I am at the permitted 100 items per month each time.
- Investigate whether selling through sites like amazon and play might be of value too.
- Start marketing my books on Kindle, and utilise sites such as clickbank for affiliate oppurtunities.
- Keep my ear to the ground for any evening class oppurtunities in the area (very limited in today's economic climate)

  • Hey MrB,

Followed you over from lurking on your diary!

I think the 2 stone is definately doable for me - taking me to around 13st 7 (which was my starting weight the last time I tried to diet :o)

£2000 in 4 months - hmm maybe not, I have the overdraft to pay off 1st which is creeping up to around £800 due to Christmas! We'll see!

Anyway I will be joining you on your challenge - will think of ways to achieve this in time for my new year and new start!

    Merry Christmas!

Mr B, are you a teacher? Can you not do some tutoring? It is a good earner

I will join you for the 2 stone, have a place on the lottery/Olympic park run and the end of March so I will be getting into training mode very soon.
We (hubby and I) have joined the 12K in 2012 thread so should have £2000 by the end of April. Good luck. Will weigh on the 1st Jan.

Good luck, very aspirational and I wish you well. I will lurk until my motivation reaches the point where I could join in. I really want the outcome but can't get past the can't be arsed's yet. Good luck

I have a stone and a half to go - may I join in?! Going to try to eat sensibly and get more vigorous exercise in an attempt to get my cholesterol down. A reading of 5 would be ideal but since the doctors started making noises about it I don't think it's been below 6.5 so I'm aiming for 5.5.

I'm still thinking about the 2K... I think I will be looking at a smaller sum but paying off a bit extra on the mortgage would make me happy. :)

I would like to join in. My aims are to lose one stone and to save enough for an Ipod.

Best of luck MrB & co. Think I may force myself to join you.
