Buyer wants refund

Personally I think you are a tad silly in thinking you don't have to refund, because all a buyers gotta do is claim not as described and you have to refund.
I am a private seller but accept returns. Why? Because if I see someone who accepts refunds I am more likely to bid than someone who does not - in fact I avoid all private sellers who put "do not accept refunds" on their description.
Most of my stuff costs under £3 to post mind - and have not yet had to issue a refund (other than missing post).
Soolin - I both buy and sell clothes and have never had a problem (other than the wrong size but it still fitted me so no problem). Maybe I am just lucky? haha. The Fields are Green, The sky is blue, the River Nene goes winding through, The market square is Cobblestoned, It shakes the old dears to their bones, A finer town you'll never see, A finer town they'll never be, Big city lights don't bother me, Northampton Town I'm proud to be!0 -
Actually if you buy from a classified ad in a paper you have full coverage, exactly as you would if you bought from Tesco online.
It is called Distance selling regulations and applies every time you make a purchase that is not face to face - it is only ebay that exclude some sellers as they are deemed to be private.
So you go and collect the item from the person who is selling a second hand item and thats deemed to come under the DSR?
I'm amazed if that is the caseThe Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

I was thinking more of the advert types, not the small ads. However, if you turn up to buy something face to face and you don;t like it you walk away.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. With the actual deals done face to face in cash- so no need of any distance selling protection.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
