Rummer, you were so much more restrained that I would have been.

    Today's fabbing

    1. Cleansed, toned, oiled and moisturised skin.
    2. Drink 1.5 litres of water.
    3. Cuticle oil and hand cream.
    4. Healthy meals.
    5. Showered and body lotion ( I swear by Palmers cocoa butter)
    6. Perfume on (Stella)

I hope you are all having a fab day.

You would think so adelight, but everything just looks terrible on me - fat legs, arms, belly, back, everything (and massive boobs!)!!!! Am probably a big size 16 so can't squeeze into a lot of high street shops like oasis.....

    lara44 - how I envy you :D I'd love to go back!

Well. today I have exercised, showered, lotioned & done hair & make up. On top of that I'm wearing a dress  Nobody has noticed yet

And I have 2 £5 vouchers for H & M that need to be used this week so think I will go and treat myself to a couple of tops or something....

Am a bit worried about how I will keep up things like exercise and grooming from tomorrow when OH back to work..... My youngest child is only 2 and he's very high maintenance :rotfl:

afternoon fellow fabbers its snowing heavily here so heres hoping it goes off. time to put effort into makeup hair and outfit as we are invited to friends house for meal later. have a new top never worn so will try that on. have been thinking about aims for 2012 and this is what i have so far:-
    1. do WW
    2. get something done with my hair. (have been growing it and now long enough to tie back/put up)
    3. be ruthless and get rid of clothes i dont like/need
    4. have eyebrows done on regular basis
    5. make sure others in the house do their share freeing up fabbing time for moi

Can I please join, just found the thread through someone mentioning it on another one. I have totally let myself go ( ok have health problems and spend a lot of time in bed but really its an excuse). I need to lose about 5 stone at least, need to start bothering about what I look like, I just wash my hair and let it dry itself, never go near hair dresser, never use anything on body except shower gel or soak in bath, never wear make up ( well I did Christmas Eve as we actually went out to watch Its a Wonderful Life and then a meal first time done anything nice like that in a long time so make up, nice clothes and jewellary were worn and hubby told me how nice I looked as did grandchildren whom we took with for meal). Rest of time I usually am to be found in pjs or trousers. Pjs are nothing special, and although I know will still be in bed a lot I realise I could at least where nice pjs/nightie, do my hair nice and even put on a bit of make up and perfume. Reading all the posts here ( not quite caught up) makes me realise how much I do want to be slim again and look nice not the total frump I am. It would be lovely on summer Solstice to wear even clothing one size smaller and feel better.

I have taken the plunge and found out where my local SW is held and its tomorrow which in a way is great as no time to think why bother as there is a class tomorrow morning at 9.15 and one at 6pm both in village. I know its not very OS but I feel even if I just go for a while to get me into healthy and correct eating again ( I went for a few months about 3 years ago and found the support very helpful and I lost weight but gained it back and more). Until I took ill I never needed to diet as I used to swim daily and looking after 3 children kept weight down and me fit.

Its funny but last year I spent a bit of money making my bedroom a nice place for me to be in ( my gilded cage I call it) but never thought about making me nice. When I am sitting in bed there is nothing to stop me moisturising my face and hands, doing my eyebrows and my hair yet I never think of it.

So to whoever started this wonderful thread and the previous one ( which I have not looked at yesterday) thank you......I know I will be asking you for a big kick very often ( when I go through a bad time afterwards anything I have started I usually don't bother starting again and its just pure laziness, just a flat slob its what I have become.

Have put some perfume on and now going to moisturise my face.

    Thanks again
Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

if you searched for 'frump to fab' all those words will be highlighted in red in the thread ;) or else you've followed a link that someone else searched for?
That's it, thank you! And thanks for the welcome, LL.

Regarding talking to people, I would say don't try too hard to be sparkling and witty - most folk are just glad of a friendly face and someone to talk to. But I once found by accident that talking about the journey is quite a good ice breaker, like 'those road works are a nightmare' or 'did you see they are building a new Tesco?' It sounds a bit boring but it is quite inoffensive and allows people to contribute as much as they know. Most people do understand that you are making an effort and will try to engage. Latest movies are always a good one,too even if you haven't seen it you can pretend to be checking before you do.

I am one of the shy ones, but at my age have had to learn to get over it or endure a lot of boring events!

This could have been written by me. In fact the other day I bumped into an old aquaintance who told the person she was with that I used to be so slim and pretty. It was a real slap in the face, what put the boot in further was someone later in the day not recognising me because I looked "So different".

I did have a wee bubble to myself (well on OHs shoulder) and then I pulled myself together and decided to do something about it!

Rummer, I could feel the tears coming to my eyes as I read this. I have had similar things happen to me, several times from family. Best of luck with all your fabbing efforts. And at the end of it all we can be sure in the knowledge that we are not only fab on the outside but more compassionate, kinder and beautiful than those people, on the inside, already.

Hi everyone. Rummer - I can't believe how nasty that person was, that comment says a lot about her. How dare she say that, how rude. Some people have no manners at all - just rise above it and remember how lovely you are.
So great to read about how everyone's making a bit of time for themselves, keep it up everyone!
