I don't mind starting the thread.......not as if it's "my" thread after all, I'll just be physically starting it.

    Thank you xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I have loved this thread, a big thank you to LL and everyone that posted. I do hope it starts again as I found it so late :o

I have a favourite 'Z' to add for those setting goals:

Its a Zig Ziglar video that I've seen posted elsewhere on MSE.

Well in the last four weeks that I've really joined in I've lost half a stone and am really starting to incorporate exercise into my life (and loving it). I've cut down on rubbish TV and started to take more interest in my appearance. My nails are currently painted and shiny :) I love the mentions of 'fabbing' the house, how positive does that sound better than chores :rotfl:and just the idea of making my house fab has meant I am starting to get rid of/recycle/give away things I no longer need.....

I look forward to the next 6 months and hope I can join in :j:j:j:j

Is it really solstice tomorrow? To be honest I've come a long way (won't bore you now) but there's still plenty of work to do. So another thread is needed!
Bitsy if you start it I'll definitely join in.

Hewie - I think I'll stick to Level 1 Shred until the end of the week then move on to Level 2. You'll hear the panting from your house!

Food has been quite good today - stuck to plan apart from 1 teeny treat of a Penguin. Could have been a lot worse though.
Tonight's exercise is scheduled to be a swim and, to be honest, when I got home from work there was no way I was going but now I've had a little sit down and walked the dog I'm feeling a bit more up for it. Will make myself do something as I'm starting to see a small difference in my shape - my belt got tightened by a notch today and was comfortable:T There's not a big difference on the scales yet but I'm hoping that I'm building muscle and changing shape and being healthier so its not all about the scales for once for me.

Right better have something to eat if I'm swimming later as I'll run out of steam otherwise.

Ok I will start the new thread.
When exactly IS the new solstice? I my head it is always on the 21st of either June or December......is it tomorrow 20th instead?m:o

I have to say that link Rachel was just what I needed today, was having a one woman pity party this morning :o combination of factors but am totally sick of this endless cycle.
However that link, plus the lovely flowers sent by H for our wedding anniversary today have perked me up no end. I said 6 months ago that 2012 was the year we kicked !!!. Well I've kicked no !!! except for my own and then I wonder why I feel demotivated :o
Anyway tonight will involve some plan making and when I start the thread tomorrow I might share. They won't be terribly exciting so don't wait up all night in anticipation :rotfl:

Bitsy - I know nothing about it but this website (for Stonehenge) says its tomorrow.
    http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/daysout/properties/stonehenge/summer-solstice/

    The Greenwich site says this...
Date & Time of Solstices & Equinoxes in 2012

    • Vernal Equinox (Spring) March 20 2012 05:14 GMT
    • Summer Solstice (Summer) June 20 2012 23:09 GMT
    • Autumnal Equinox (Fall) September 22 2012 14:49 GMT
    • Winter Solstice (Winter) December 21 2012 11:11 GMT
So, I guess we either go for a 3 month effort and use the summer to autumn period or do the full whack through to the winter solstice on Dec 21st ( the day before my birthday!).

I don't mind either. Will set myself minigoals if we do the 6 months to get me to Sept and staying on track especially through my lovely 7 week holiday from work, when I'm very likely to go astray rather than using the time productively:o

Ladies can you let your voices be heard.......do you want a 3 month or 6 month orientated thread?

Anything is good for me :j:j:jIt will probably take me 6 months to reach my goals, but if we have a 3 month one we can always have 2 of those :D

I am so sorry the delightful and revered LessonLearned is leaving the thread behind. I wish you all the best but I also wish you stayed as your words mean so much to all of us on our own personal journeys to fabdom.

If it wasn't for this thread keeping me on track at times who knows if I would be as fab as I feel right now, maybe I would have found my way there on my own. Believe me it was a big help.

As for the next thread I think the 3mths one might be a good idea - Summer to Autumn Equinox then Autumn to Winter Solstice
