the longer you leave it the more difficult it might get

    I sooooo agree with this.
I always start by apologising for asking but explain the money is needed for x, y and z and take it from there.
Don't be afraid to ask for what's owed to you. People sadly are quick to take advantage if opportunity arises.

Just back from a lovely walk in the woods and a well deserved drink in the pub with my friend and dogs and called in for an indian takeaway on the way home (fresh air and exercise makes you starving!) - not exactly healthy eating but I did make better choices - plain boiled rice and a chick pea curry. Yummy:p

Thanks for the opinions on the money - if she's not forthcoming tomorrow I'll ask for it - not looking forward to that:mad:

Morning all. Up and about bright and early and just about to go out with the dog for a bit.

Decided to take my measurements this morning to update the diet plan. Have lost another half inch from my chest now taking it to at least 4inches from there in the last 12mths. Everything else has stayed the same and the next target for me is to lose a further half inch from my waist. Currently on 4.5 inches lost from my waist and aiming to get to a loss of 5inches.

How I do that I don't know? Well I do know, probably by knucking down again on the exercise and stopping eating chocolate eclairs!

    Good Morning

Short post - can't sit down properly.

Back has now seized - plus upset stomach. They always seem to go together for some reason.

Can't drive - had to cancel hairdresser appt - not sure if I will be able to visit OH. DS2 will have to do a shop for me.

Oh well nothing to be done - just forced to rest now. A sofa day.

Hope you all have a fab Jubilee Weekend.

    Morning all!
LL - sorry to hear about your back - it must be very frustrating. Take it easy today. xx

My gay best friend and his husband were here at 8.30  to drop off their dog who I'm looking after for the weekend while they're away. He's a lovely little thing and has settled in already. We've been for a 30 min walk and he seems quite happy exploring the house and garden.

Not much planned for today really as I don't want to leave Stanley for too long in his new home. I'm sure my dog is showing him the ropes but its still new for him.
I think I'll do some schoolwork later to get it out of the way, more dog walking and will stay in tonight with a film. I need to pop out to the shops for a few bits in a mo but will leave the big shop until later in the week as I have visitors from Weds - Fri.

The weather is a bit funny today here - much colder than it has been and very overcast - think it will rain later. So a good day to stay in a get those annoying little jobs that keep getting put off done. And of course, a bit of maintainance fabbing - probably face mask, the dreaded feet and maybe doing my roots if I can face it:o

Well, wonders will never cease - the woman next door has just caught me coming back from Mr T's and handed over the remainder of the cash she owed me:j:j:j
Its in an envelope in a drawer waiting to go to the bank - if it goes in my purse it WILL get spent. It's going towards paying for the new sofas when the bill comes.

I've gone bonkers and bought a different colour hair dye, still dark brown but with a bit of red. If I get bored to death later I'll have a go with it.

Need to sit and have a think about the goals, they need to be realistic. Am pleased to note he didn't mention doing WW and the like.....he was actually embracing the mindful eating principles :T

Enjoy your Saturday and the Jubilee weekend. I am not ashamed to admit that my house is adorned inside and out with Union flags :rotfl:

hope you feel better soon LL and hugs for those feeling down. sorting through some clothes and glad i hung on to some holiday stuff as it fits well again. diets or healthy eating plans, the trick is finding a regime that suits your lifestyle health and personal preference. in the end though the essential part which only you can supply is willpower/determination.

Glad the money has been paid. (perhaps she is a lurker on here and got ashamed!).

    Thanks for the well wishes.
My daughter and the baby have gone to Dorset to stay with thier cousin for a few days. She doesnt have to go to work till Thursday. She doesnt work on Wednesdays anyway.
She was going to come by today but changed her mind.
My Son is away as well, so its just DGD and I at home.
It was the town Carnival today, but I was not in the mood to go down.
I spent yesterday sorting out my old broken wardrobes, and parring things down. The stuff is now all in a pile on the top of my sewing desk in the corner of my room. THere are clothes up to about 6ft! Bags and bags of stuff all in one corner to be rehomed. As I had to empty the old chests of drawers ready for the replacement set that is due to arrive before 3pm today.
I have cleared and cleaned ready. Had to clear up DS's room. What a tip, so that I could drag the old furniture into his room, ready to take to the twins to use. But I couldnt lift them, not even without the drawers in. So that was my best option. So if DS wants to sleep in his room, he has to help move the furniture out!. Simple.
I have also had to blitz in the front room as it was imploding in on us, and we may have to have the new furniture crowded in on us in the frontroom, if the charity that are delivering arent going to take the furniture upstairs. They did have signs saying they would only deliver to the door. But I am hoping to ask them if they can put them up the stairs. (probably not the wardrobe as thats huge,- if its not been dismantled to come here, I think it will need to be dismantled to get it up the stair and round the corner at the top!.My stairs are steep and narrow.
I am washing even though the weather is not good. Although it seems to have stopped raining its still cool and overcast.

I am not exactly looking myself, but thats not becuase of any man, just becuase I have been cleaning and clearing etc etc.
Tonight I may have a soak in the bath with a few bubbles etc and have a pamper evening. No BF to have to cook and entertain afterall.
He wasnt going to be here until tomorrow anyway, (if we had still been together) as its his eldest sons birthday.

I keep getting sad moments, but so far I havent shed a tear. Last time I was very upset. Mind you I have removed and torn up a picture of him that was in the front room. Felt some satisfaction as I tore his face into little tiny pieces!!
I have plenty of pictures on the computer if I did ever feel the need to do it again!!!
I didnt realise how many clothes I had until the wardrobe collapsed! I have 5 bags for the charity and really I think I should probably be parring it down even more. Will have another go when I put the new stuff into the replacement wardrobe and drawers.
I also threw out a bag full of my undies/bras etc that do not fit comfortably anymore, or are just old hat. But they went in the bin as I know when I was in charity we hated sorting through bags that had underwear in. (unless it was new stuff of course).

Hope that your back is better soon LL.
Hope that everyone is feeling upbeat and that they will be fine soon.

Hope you enjoy the street party if you go, am sure there will be some things that are free/cheap - oh and the 'no car' is no excuse missus, I don't drive but try and get along to things when I can. .[/QUOTE]

Unfortunately there's very little happening in our town ( or nothing I van find despite lots of looking). I looked into WI but meetings were 'out in sticks' where buses end about 6ish so that was out. Otherwise it's into nearest city and atm just can't afford to do it on a regular basis. I am thinking of starting at yoga (might be good for my back, shoulder etc) but classes nearby and affordable are full until September. Am hopefully going to be out and about with kids in school holidays. I am looking for things so am sure I'll find something eventually.
