    Good Morning Everyone

Have just finished giving the plaster patching a second go, just one more then I can sand it down and repaint.

In case in anyone is interested Sainsbugs are doing their 25% of their Tu clothing range this weekend. I might pop along later and see if there is anything nice.

Other than that nothing much happening here - just going to do a bit more sorting out in my bedroom, clean the bathroom, lunch and then off to see OH.

    Have a good day.

I'm happily having a day off today on the first day of a nice well deserved long weekend.

Got up and went for a run this morning which went a bit better than the others did this week.

Then dropped the dog off for his grooming appt then set off for my haircut which is now quite a bit shorter and more geometric a la sassoon but not quite as sharp as the 60's. Hoping it looks ok when I wash and style it.

Now back home and had my leftover's lunch and yoghurt and now relaxing watching the tennis for a bit before start some cleaning.

What else - I'll be checking Sainsbugs out this weekend to see what's left in there and on offer and looking forward to seeing mum tomorrow.

    Happy weekend everyone

hair cut and feeling much fabber. :). not so good is went on wii to do a bit of yoga stretching for back and have gained 2lbs :( doesn't seem much but it's gradually creeping up so do need to do something about it.

Bitsy thanks for the book tips will check them out.

Am going to get some house fabbing done this afternoon am behind with things due to being out of action with back. Will still have to be careful though as it's not 100% yet.

WW- looks like you've got a really good social life going now. Wish I could - not being able to drive is a real drawback on this front.

LL isn't it annoying when they promise to deliver things and they don't turn up. Still their loss when you take your custom elsewhere.

Might be off up village for the local street party tomorrow. Just hope it isn't going to cost me afortune as I can't see all the activities they've laid on being free.

    Have a good day x

    Hi all,

LL - agree that calling something a 'diet' seems to automatically set us up for failure, it seems to conjure up images of bland food and tiny portions - when in reality it's much better to just look at healthier, tasty options, cut down on snacking and up the exercise. If you're not going to be able to at least make some changes long term then if you do lose weight it's just going to go back on again when you stop.
I'm sorry it's not looking like your OH will be able to come home. I appreciate it's not an easy thing but you need to think about your own health as well, hopefully the power pack will come soon and you can get him out and about a bit more x

ww - that's an impressive list of social activities, go you :T

    EH - have a lovely weekend :)

Lizzie - yay on the hair cut, keep thinking I must get mine done soon, I've not been for over a year, I have a very simple hairstyle so have just been trimming the ends and hacking some bits off the front :o I think it's because I don't really know any places up here and I always get a little paranoid going to a new place for the first time! Hope you enjoy the street party if you go, am sure there will be some things that are free/cheap - oh and the 'no car' is no excuse missus, I don't drive but try and get along to things when I can.

Anyways, been a bit quiet the last few days, been feeling really tired and not had the energy for much when I get home. Am taking some photos tomorrow for a band, they're in a Dundee which will be a bit of a change of scenery I suppose. Then possibly doing some filming with OH when I get back. Sunday will no doubt be editing everything so another busy weekend. Not done much fabbing, will try and do a hair condition and sort my nails out tonight.

Well all that fabbing, and I got dumped by the BF again. So thats it this time, 3 days before 8 years anniversary too.
ironically my eldest daughter who was supposed to be getting married next year got the same from her BF yesterday as well. Is there something in the air?

Oh Mooloo I am so sorry to hear this, as well as your DD too :(:(

You both however deserve men who will love and cherish you, clearly these ex BFs are not up to the job. Keep on with the fabbing, don't let this mean you stop looking after yourself. Sending you both very large hugs xxx

Sending you both big hugs and echo Bitsy's point. You might not feel right now that you're both worth more but you are and you will feel it in the end.

Fabness for me today was burning off 1000kcals+ today - go me :D - no man to hold me back or put me down

Mooloo - sorry to hear your news - he obviously is quite mad! I hope you're ok and that you can see a way forward by yourself. It took a little while after my split but I made it and will never look back. Take care. xx

And :j:j to all of the new haircuts (canine and human):)
Bet you all look blo*dy gorgeous! Am quite jealous.

Well, schoooool's out for half term (tried singing that but it didn't work!) I'm off out with the dog and my new friend her dog in about an hour - we're walking around a bit of the Cheshire country side finishing up at a nice country pub for a bite to eat and a drink. Hope the rain stays away.
I also got an invitation today to a BBQ on Monday from a colleague - will go even if only for an hour or so as she's been nice enough to ask me.

Advice please - My next door neighbour owes me £50 and is a week late with it (promised it to me last weekend) - do you think I should ask for it? I don't really like her but she bought my sofa from me for £100 and asked to give it to me over 2 weeks (£50 a week) and gave me the first half but it seems that she's avoided me ever since. I want the cash as it was a promise but don't like to ask. What should I do?

Right better go and get changed and spruce myself up a bit....

So sorry to hear the bad news mooloo but the point of the fabbing is for you to feel good about you. 8 years is a long time but try not to let it get you down. Take a bit of time out for yourself and then start planning for a good future.

I went to Sainsbury's to do some food shopping and just had to treat myself (thanks LL;)). I got some wide legged black and white print trousers which were already reduced so cost less than £10 with the reduction and a gorgeous, floaty black chiffon pleated and lined maxi skirt. It was £35 but with 25% off it makes it a good buy. You'd never guess it's from a supermarket.

Good to hear from you pod, hope you have the couple of days off next week too. Sounds like you need a rest.

I know I could bore for England on this but Slimming World make a point of describing themselves as a healthy eating plan rather than a diet. You get to eat loads of good food and severely limit the stuff we know should just be for treats (fats, sugar, booze). Common sense really. And best of all, it works!!:D

Sounds like a day for hairdos: lizzie, sparkles and sparkles' dog!:rotfl:

Hope you have a great Half Term ww. It's great to see your social life building, there just has to be more to life than work. I expect your visitors will be most impressed with the newly decorated sitting room.

I did dress fairly smartly today. It's dull here but still reasonably warm. I'm wearing a pink/green/grey patterned skirt from White Stuff with a white vest and a bright pink little Primani cardi.

    Back soon.

P.S. ww, posts crossed, but I'd ask for the money, it's not as if you'd be offending a friend. If you don't ask quickly then she'll probably spend it over the weekend (assuming she's just been paid).
